It seems like the posts are really slowing down. If you look at the ratio of views/posts, it’s getting in the 100 to one ratio. People need to make better use of the karma to make posting more fun. There are a lot of lurkers out there, hiding in the bushes.

I hope the selected candidates will stay in touch during the two weeks in office and during training. I suspect a lot of people are busy either getting back to their lives or preparing to move.
Good luck to all on the next cert.

When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed. Say something once, why say it again?

I am fortunate enough to work with an Omniologist; as the saying goes in Nebraska, his knowledge is a mile wide and an inch deep.

This is from some of my old military friends: "His knowledge is only Power-Point deep."

aljsouth & all: I plan to continue to post, and hope that others will too, as this forum has been truly invaluable. Right now I am swamped because I am packing up to leave home in 2 weeks (while still working at the office) in order to drive 2000+ miles to my new assignment. I'll be checking in here until 3/30/08. Then I'll hop into my car for a multi-day road trip (hoping for good weather). Once I arrive on the east coast & find a residence, my computer will be shipped to me so I can then log back on and rejoin this wonderful discussion. All the best. julie ps: Morgullord - Thanks for the great Lincoln quote!

Life is cyclical. Now that the first round of hiring is done, things will probably be quiet for a bit. For those of you in the April class, let us know how training goes. It should be fun to hear how Spring is in Baltimore.

I am often wrong, but seldom uncertain. Or, as an ALJ in my office said: "I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken."

I'm not going to be outdone in my own thread!
There's nothing wrong with having nothing to say -- unless you insist on saying it. Unknown Source Sometimes silence is not golden -- just yellow. Unknown Source You are a slave to what you do say, a master of what you don't say. Unknown Source Those that are silent profess consent. Unknown Source Consider the whale: It never gets into trouble until it comes up and starts spouting. Unknown Source The deepest feeling always shows itself in silence; not in silence, but restraint. Unknown Source He knew the precise psychological moment when to say nothing. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) Irish poet and dramatist. Silence implies consent. Proverb The tree of silence bears the fruit of peace. Arabian proverb The whisper of a pretty girl can be heard further than the roar of a lion. Arabian proverb
