Does anyone know if the Agency/Federal Government plans on allowing us to carry over more than 240 days of annual leave due to Covid-19 and the fact that many of us are not taking vacation? I have talked to an active duty buddy of mine and he told me that the DOD is allowing it.

OPM leaves it up to Agencies, there is a provision already in OPM regs that allow carrying over more than the 240 hrs. But, expect SSA to be the last Agency to allow it and then only after media blitzes by the union and letters from democratic legislators.

We are only Units of Production. Why would Management care about the morale of its workforce? It’ll never happen. Respectfully, Hamster

Unfortunately I think you are right. Pixie

Our office seems to be running out of cases, so I can't imagine TPTB would do anything to discourage us from taking annual leave.

Agreed. I don’t have full dockets for August or September.

Very different experience for me.
Full dockets in August, September, and (so far) half of October.
Differences in centralized scheduling units perhaps?

I was told that NCSU did not send out August and early September notices until it was under 75 days, and then sent 75-day waivers with the notices. Many claimants and reps are refusing to waive 75, so they were postponed. The only thing in short supply is competency at CSU, not cases. Considering all the postponements, there are more than enough cases.
