I am one of those that looks forward to return to the office. I prefer the interactions and like live hearings over video and certainly over phone ones. I would be fine with being entirely at office as well as allowing those who want to work at home exclusively or split between office and home. As for travel dockets, that might not resume or be reduced, I enjoyed getting away 3-6 weeks a year. It made for a nice change. Makes two of us. I am eagerly waiting to return to the office. I like a separate home and a separate work life balance. I am grateful for having a job i can work from home but if given the choice i would like to get back to the office

WHile I would like to be back in the office, the telephone hearings have worked surprisingly well. I suspect that southerner has a lazy commute down the St. Charles trolley line, rather than the horrendous trips some others of us made and are not eager to do again.

okthen said: If I was running the agency, I would scoop up the judges that like it, tell them they can work from home, but that they would need to agree to take hearings from all over the country (wherever there is a need). Flexibility from both labor and management - win win...[/quote] The problem is that we already have to do that. The majority of my docket has not been from my home office for almost a year. All different regions, offices and now time zones during the same day. I get a headache (and really extended hearing day) and management gives nothing in return. Edited to try and fix my botched reply.
