I am in the position of having scored low by OPM which I think was the most significant factor in my being passed over. I scored high enough to make the first cert, but not the second. My frustration is that I have no idea why my score was low, and I cannot get a response to my merit appeal. Plus, I cannot reapply. Instead, a new group of applicants get to come in with more than enough time to complete applications with the almost year's wait and the three week's immediate notice. Plus, they had a year to bolster their resume' and activity record, and they all now have the potential to score higher. Now, if I had a high score and had not been hired, I might assume there was something about me personally that did not fit. Right now, I just don't know what does not fit. I just would like a response to my appeal, if anyone is listening.

I have been re-working my application documents since Memorial Day 2007. I did not get to resubmit them recently; however, at some point, I will have an opportunity to resubmit and when that occurs, I will have my stuff ready. Remember that you have a product to sell and that product is you. It has been almost a year but I have not wasted my time.
