Hmmm, by jumping to a conclusion, I have decided they are calling in order of regions.

Never mind Maybe the calls are being made East coast to West coast, since people are just rolling into work out West?

I hope not. I am on the East Coast and haven't gotten a call. It's gonna be a long weekend.

I will offer two pieces of advice. First, I found out long ago that it is useless to try and figure out if there is any pattern to the way the offers are being made. I would assume that it is random. It seems to me that it would be a waste of time to arrange the calls into some kind of pattern.
The second piece of advice is to not get too stressed by the fact that you have not received a call yet. When I was called last September, it was several hours after the first post of calls going out before I was called. I wasted half of the day thinking that I was not going to get called. Plus, from what I have seen posted, the calls are going to go into next week. Don't let it consume your weekend.
Don't forget that there are a lot of calls to be made. This takes time.

Yes, congratulations to all.
I have noticed only BJ gave his start date. I'm not sure if people didn't think to do so, or if they want it to be a secret.
Reminder to all: The Polling Palace has several polls in which you are invited to participate.

By my count there have only been 5 offers posted on the board. Do we expect offers for all 130 positions today or will they stagger the offers based on report date?

I would think not... I think they want to get even the August reporters pinned down now, so they can do a supplemental cert to fill in any needed vacancies that have come up since.
Congrats to all so far!

By my count there have only been 5 offers posted on the board. Do we expect offers for all 130 positions today or will they stagger the offers based on report date? The person who predicted offers starting today with an air of authority also predicted they would continue through Tuesday. Statistically, I expect 40-60 people on this board to receive offers. When we get to about 40 offers, I will start assuming the process is winding down, and if it hits 60 I will assume it is all but complete. Depending on how many people are making calls (usually it is no more than 2), they should be able to do at least 8 per hour, including paperwork, which would be two solid days (no overtime exists right now) plus a little bit to get them all in. However, with leaving messages and having to make and receive call backs, it could easily take all three days to get to everyone. On the other hand, if a bunch of people say "Yes, please!", the whole thing could be done in a day and a half.

Yes. Congratulations indeed. I imagine there are a few folks who Bob has to hear back from before the process proceeds. That is, if they do not accept, then the list jumps down to the next person who may be on the list for multiple locations. However, I claim no insider contacts and know nothing about the process which is facinating to watch. Been waiting 15 years for a call--have been humbled enough by now that I'd likely be good at the job. Please post your score upon acceptance in the 1st demographic poll. Thanks.

Care: conventional wisdom is that the process is too complex for changes on the fly - they do not backfill except in highly unusual circumstances. Usually the fill the declined spots with a supplemental cert.
