It looks like offers started mid to late Friday morning (eastern time) for RI and RII slots. So far, someone on this board has identified three such offers by office name (Manchester NH; Providence RI and Jericho NY). We also have one offer that was not identified with any particular office, so it may be duplicative of one of the three above, who knows--maybe the poster could come back and clarify. These offers look like they went to "high" scoring (somewhere north of the high 70's) "outsiders" (non-ODAR employees)--at least that is how it appears. The GAL lists 6 offices in each of these two regions. But there could be more than one slot in each of the 12 offices. We are probably tallking about a total of 15 slots or so, give or take, in these two regions. So, most conservative guess looks like about 20% of the offers for RI and RII were done Friday morning as reported on the board. But if you take our board reporters as being representative of no more than 1/3 of the non-board world, you could probably expand the 20% figure to 50%, maybe 60%. Bottom line: looks like close to half of the offers for RI and RII may have been made Friday morning. That means at least half of those 15 or so slots, plus about 140 or so more in the rest of the regions are still pending. So even if you limited yourself to RI and/or RII, it's not over yet. And certainly, if you included more than that, it's nowhere near over. RIII's 13 offices should come next, then RIV's 22, followed by RV's 14 offices, RVI's 20 or so, RVII's 3 offices, RIX's 10 offices and RX's 4 offices. (There is also a single office, Denver, in RVIII--at least as of the GAL). Each of the above offices may have more than one slot and the above figures may have shifted slightly due to the never-ending transfer dance. By releasing the first few offers on Friday, SSA can legitimately report that offers commenced in the month of May, albeit the last day in May. The next two or two+ business days are going to be brutal. Hopefully, the board will be a place of solace, as well as information, as this thing shakes out.

Thank you so much for this information. I'm sure that I'm not alone on this thought, but not getting a call on Friday did cause some anxiety and a bit of a negative effect on my confidence and optimism. This information helps a lot. You have just brought some peace to my weekend.

flannery, if my post about an individual receiving a call is the "unknown" you reference, it involved one of the specific calls you identify. I did not give specifics when I posted out of respect for the individual's anonymity.

Thanks for the clarification Benchsitter. So I guess there are three. Hopefully, there are at least half more to go, maybe more, for those two regions...

The person I know received his offer for Providence, and his score was in the low 70s. There was no rhyme or reason other than he was selected for Region I. I also know someone else who has not yet gotten an offer whose score was a bit higher. Every one needs to just hang in there and see what happens on Monday. Good luck!

Nightowl, do you know whether the person who was offered Providence had a narrow or wide geographical availability?

Chieftan, he only eliminated some West Coast cities. So yes, he had a wide geographic availability. Good luck tomorrow!

After a wonderful weekend of golfing and visiting friends, I am ready to face the moment of truth.
Good luck everyone - looks like there are still 154 slots left!

Good luck to all!!! It's been a long and windy road, and we can all finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!!!
Thank you to all who have made me laugh through this very long and often mind numbing process.

Good morning. Good Luck! Thank you to all of those who have provided insight, support, distraction and laughter. Some of us will be disappointed in the next few days, that cannot be avoided, but I am thankful that I was able to put together a good application and to learn a lot about the position through this board. If I am not successful this time, I'll have an even stronger shot next time. Thanks for everything, even the sometimes vigorous debates!

Somewhere in the deepest bowels of ODAR, a GS-5 clerk in the Fairy Godmother department stirs. Having finished her third cup of coffee and a prune danish, she reaches into her ancient rolodex for the telephone number of the next person she will call to offer an ALJ position. With her withered fingers she begins to dial her rotary telephone and.....

The Official Reporting Site for offers is barren at 10:30, Eastern (I can never remember if its EST or EDT).
Pardon my French, but WTF? Is Fairy Godmother exacting revenge for many ALJ insults over the years?

No, we just got an update from the Fairy Godmother department. The clerk was distracted by her knitting and will be occupied for a while. <Somewhere the sound of Musak is heard...>

They are probably waiting until after 8am West Coast time. Little do they know that those of us on the WC have been staring at our phones since 5 this morning.
