The provisions of 2 C no longer applies. This would seem to mean that the new hires could reapply for a voluntary reassignment after only three months.
Section 2 A. The OHA shall create and maintain a reassignment register organized by hearing office that contains the name of each volunteer Judge, the postmarked date of the request for reassignment and the date the Judge was appointed. Upon request, the Agency will provide to the President of the AALJ a copy of the current reassignment register on no more than a quarterly basis, which includes a list of all Judges who have requested reassignment to each hearing office. C. A Judge with less than twenty-four (24) months of continuous service with the Agency is not eligible for a voluntary reassignment unless a qualifying hardship exists and may not be placed on the request register until eligible.

First time poster. This is news to me and probably to union and management leaders as well. What is your source?

My source is email from local AALJ union rep. saying: "I was informed last friday that the agency is now going to waive the 2 year wait for transfers."

"Home is where the heart is and hence a movable feast." -Angela Carter
One would think, as a general proposition, that a Judge being where they would like to be would be a more productive Judge. Certainly this is very good news.
