Nope. Seems like July will be tomorrow. Or worse, in two or three weeks... One of the ALJs in my office said he thought they were doing the hiring in two bursts, but I assumed he was guessing. I wonder if he knew something...

I disagree, sort of.
I don't think they are done with the June class. I have not seen much from west of the Mississippi and, surely, there will be hires in Kansas, Texas, NM, Arizona, Nevada, California, and Washington ... Maybe even one or two from region VIII.
We may be looking at four days of offers.

Of all the ways to decide who gets which start date, geographically dividing the country seems about as good (or not good) as any other (barring applying judgment to who needs it more). If the stats of the board being close to 1/3 is still a good rule of thumb, then the June class is about done. You raise a good point, but there can't be more than a handful of June offers yet to go out.

I shouldn't have said there "can't" be more than a handful. I should have said that it is statistically unlikely.

I would have preferred that this be like cheerleading tryouts, or casting calls:
Post the selections on a bulletin board and let everyone see right away. Of course, that would have raised its own problems, most likely beginning with the Privacy Act.

I wonder if he knew something... No July starting date reported so far. Concur with PropM that it should be tomorrow. From observing the state of the board for the last week or so, I hate to think about the remaining board memebers' sanity if OCALJ delays and do a second burst a few weeks down the road. However, on a more positive note, if we take the Commissioner's Broadcast today at face value, 148 offers will be out this week (which will have to include both the July and August classes, since each class can only fit 75ish), so the above theory is unlikely.

Quite frankly, I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to the way the offers are coming out, other than HR calling people on their designated lists.

Pixie said there was one in July.... Strange that they would have made just one July offer! One acceptance for Brooklyn in the July class. Pix. Taken on its own, Pix's report should be talking about a member who's reporting in June and going to the July class[/b], same as everyone who reported a June 22 reporting date so far. However, her next post indicated someone who is going to the June class. So I'm somewhat confused too. Hard to tell if there is a mix-up of some sort since I haven't seen the actual pms that were sent to her. Pix, can you clarify when you get a chance? Thanks!

I may be grasping at straws, but I compared the list of offered cities to my geo pref list, and there's over 2/3 left....Illinois, NC, SC....
Is the consensus that this fun is likely to be over by Wednesday?

They are calling by report date. The first report date is June 22, they will report to their respective offices and start class two weeks later which is July 6. The second report date is July 20 and class starts 2 weeks later Aug 3. They should be close to being finished with the first report date. There should not be any significant delay between calling for the first report date and the second one. There are no openings in Kansas.
Go to bed, get some sleep, after all "Tomorrow is another day".

Jericho had two, one slot went on Monday. Don't know about the others nor do I know about White Planes or Newark. Looks like we're in the running for the same slots.......
