I know this sounds overly simple but heed this warning: do not get in the trap of thinking you can take a house hunting trip after your entry on duty date. You must make this trip prior to entering on duty--at least this is how I remember it from a relo I did a few years past. If you EOD on 6-22, time is flying by.

Current SSA/ODAR employees, particularly those in the June class, need to be aware they need to make arrangements for their travel order. Your local office can't do it.

Flannery, I had thought about having my spouse fly down during my two weeks to work with the realtor. This can't count?

Any advice for current federal employees who are not SSA/ODAR. We would love to go on a house hunt, but are waiting to hear about the the relocation package (hopefully I qualify?)
Has anyone received paperwork yet?

The friendly warning herein above is as far as my travel advice goes. As the big dog says, you should contact the experts.
