For demelza - the cities I listed this morning should be all those available for this cert. I included all cities on my list when I submitted my preferences. I haven't heard of anyone today who had another city on their list.

For inquisitive, I personally know of several people who had scores slightly less than 60 who made this cert. Scores like 59.8 and the like. Unfortunately, I've never known anyone at the very low end of a cert to get picked up. I think the system is set up to get SSA more names than they really need to avoid any additional delays. For my friends' sake, I hope I'm wrong this time.

Scores like this being picked up tend to support the "Pixie Admonition": at SSA, scores don't matter.

If the list of cities above is accurate, I should be on the cert for at least two cities, but I didn't receive an email. So, who do I contact to clear this up? ODAR or OPM?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

If there are scores in the 50's making the cert isn't that good to great news for those of us with low to mid 60s scores? Mathematically, doesn't it follow that if a person is in the middle range of scores in consideration that person is more likely to be among the top 3 for a location. Previously, the lowest scores on a cert were in the 60.something. If the bottom of the cert is in the 59s then the middle would be lower. I believe that there are people who have made previous certs who haven't actually been considered for an actual job yet.

I have now received the ODAR email. It says that it was sent out at 7:29am today, but it did not show up in my in email until 6:48pm. I have no idea why the delay, but if it happened to me, I imagine it could have happened to someone else.

SSA can choose the lowest scoring candidate of their group of three for an opening if they want to, unless there is a Veteran consideration, so having a higher score doesn't mean you're more likely to be chosen. But, with a higher score you'll get onto the cert more often and you can't be appointed unless you're on the cert, so a higher score will increase your odds.

Does anyone know if all of the emails have been sent out? My GAL is wide open and my score certainly falls within the range of those on the poll. It is my recollection that there were two separate emails for the last cert in the summer.
