Check your e-mails. Got a call from a former colleague indicating that she got an e-mail for the new cert.

Thanks, Wallace. My inbox is empty so far. I was on the last 2 certs and had high hopes for this one, since I broadened my availability. Those who get the email, please go ahead and post.

Hey - I just checked application manager and their list of my availability looks *nothing* like what I sent to them in November. If I send a correcting email now will it gum up the works and keep me off of a cert, or will it broaden my chances?

I too check my application manager and the GAL looked nothing like I expanded it. As I was looking at it I received the Cert from SSA with a much expanded list of cities. So big assumption but I think SSA has the correct list.
But on another angle the also included all the background forms to be completed again.

I got the email, for Manhattan and Newark. I started with a fairly small GAL. This is my third time, I think I have the guy's fax number memorized.

Diceman,
There are no jinxes allowed in this. We will both get those jobs, one location each. Or, both together and we will become ever the best of friends and colleagues.
Good luck to you too!

I received notice for the new cert, although I've applied to reake the test - to raise my score. I guess that answers the question of whether applying effectively removes one from the register - no. I hope I get an offer before I have to go take the test again.

This is not just a cliche saying. If it is God's will He will make it happen.
A number of people on this board went through a lot of trial and waiting but ended up with a position, and that is all that matters. Good luck to everyone. As for me, I hope to soon be moving one step closer to getting on the register and eventually being an ALJ!

Gaga, Are these all the locations on the new cert, or were these just the cities on your GAL?

Latest rumor is that the april class has been moved back to May, 2010. Will be filled by those on the cert that you are currently getting notices about.

Can anyone positively confirm that an ALJ candidate with an OPM-assigned NOR of less than 69.00 has received an email from SSA advising the ALJ candidate that his or her name was forwarded to SSA on the OPM-issued CY 2010 certificate of ALJ eligibles?
In short are folks with an OPM-assigned NOR of less than 69.00 receiving the emails from SSA that SSA started sending out yesterday or today?

For those doing the math, the last cert notification was e-mailed July 29, 2009 and the offers started going out September 17, 2009 (50 days). So take a deep breath as it is doubtful we will hear anything until mid-March. GOOD LUCK!!!!

On the other hand, I would imagine that there are far fewer interviews that will be conducted, which may speed things up somewhat

Just curious if anyone who made the cert scored below 60? I am one point under and so bummed. Thought they might dip down a bit this time, but I'm thinking they didn't. This process is so frustrating!
