Although the scores are not out yet, I created a poll for the posting of your score when they do come out. Please take a moment and post your score. It is anonymous so please post your score good or bad. The more scores, the easier it is to make an accurate guess as to what is going on.
Thanks

Has anyone in the history of this racketeered process ever gotten lower than a 50? I'm being serious. Has that ever happened to anyone who went through the entire process? I'm very self-critical, but I really thought I did well on both the WD and the SI, and if my application were deplorable you'd think I would've been among the 1/3 (or whatever fraction it was) of applicants who weren't invited at all.

MerelyForTheAsking: I got a 50 last year and 75 this year. I felt much worse about the WD this year but better about the SI. I submitted the same application. The dramatic change in my score leads me to believe the process is completely random, so don't take it personally.

Having gone through two big job searches in the past three years in our household I have come to the conclusion that when the hiring official says "It's not you, it's me" they are serious.
Public and private I've seen barely qualified people hired as if the light of heaven were upon them and the well qualified treated as if they were utterly inept. I have found that if they seek litigation experience and you regale them with court room and appellate experience it will be tossed because the word litigation was nowhere to be found.

Thanks for the response issuegirl! Congrats on the incredible jump in your score. That's amazing, and probably due in part to the fact that you should never have been rated a "50" in the first place. I read on a different thread that some people reported getting scores in the 30s during the 2007 process, so maybe my score isn't the worst in the history of the hiring process. Either way, it's absurd. I guess I shouldn't be able to keep my job defending ALJs' decisions in the federal courts because I'm just so unqualified! LOL

in addition to the poll for scores, there is a poll entitled "GAL limits" for the purpose of indicating how many locations are on each of the applicant's GAL - which may hold the life line for those with lower scores.
