Has anyone heard whether Medicare has extended any offers yet?

Hopefully they are getting those done, and will communicate with ODAR as suggested elsewhere here before, so their acceptances will play into ODAR's hiring decisions.

I have heard they already know who they will extend offers to, but they don't know when they will notify people. they wanted to start training the end of July, hopefully. thus, I guess they will notify candidates soon.

I thought both agencies did not speak to each other?
Does that mean that if OMHA wants to make an offer, ODAR will hold off making an offer to the same candidate until OMHA has heard from the candidate?
If so, why can't ODAR make an offer just the same?

On another thread, (offhand I don't remember which one) someone said that the head person at OMHA used to be in management at ODAR, and it was thought that it would be likely that the list of accepted offers from OMHA would be given to ODAR, theoretically in time to play into ODAR's hiring decisions. It was assumed that OMHA would be making offers much sooner than ODAR, because they were interviewing a MUCH smaller pool of applicants in the same time frame.

I just heard that someone was offered and accepted an ALJ position with OMHA in Miami. I don't know any more details.

I think OMHA is waiting to see where King James is going before extending any other offers.
