The Chief ALJ at OMHA sent this out on Friday and it was shared with SSA ALJs in this mornings' email: "The Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA) is seeking to fill multiple vacancies for our Supervisory Administrative Law Judge Position at the ALJ-03 level or higher in our Midwestern Field Office (Cleveland, Ohio)." Candidates must be serving as a federal ALJ at the ALJ-03 level or higher, or be eligible for reinstatement to an ALJ position based on prior experience as an ALJ.
I do not know how this impacts hiring from the current certification, as it seeks experienced ALJs for supervisory work.

My understanding is that people on the medicare ALJ cert were interviewed for supervisory positions. However, this announcement went out before the current SSA and OMHA certs, and there were apparently no takers then, so those of you on the cert may yet have hope if there are again no takers.
