If they have to offer transfers first, my guess would be no.

Any thoughts as to how many transfers might be out there? Considering the last couple of recent hires this summer, and no ability to transfer yet from those hires, I wouldn't think there would not be too many transfers available that have not been processed already.

Disregard the poor grammar in the prior post please! I should proofread before I send things.

There are PLENTY of eligible people out there waiting to transfer from hires long before this last two. Since we don't even know what cities they are looking at having vacancies in, it's really impossible to know.

There are PLENTY of eligible people out there waiting to transfer from hires long before this last two. How do transfers work? If there are 10 people on the transfer list, the first 5 decline the transfer and number 6 says yes, does SSA ask number 7 for the next go around or does it go back through the original 1 - 5, before getting to 7?

It goes back to the original number 1 if it is a different cert.

I thought the date the ALJ declined an offer became his new request date and therefore anyone ahead of him as of that date would be offered a transfer prior to him. Is that not right??

Declining moves your name to the bottom of the list.

Cricket, don't jump out the window. I haven't gotten the email either. Maybe they're still sending out the emails.

Bob just sent me the email a few minutes ago. I have a very limited GAL (only 12 locations), and this cert has: (1) Brooklyn, (2) Tampa, (3) Milwaukee, and (4) Orland Park.

Someone just PMed me that the cut-off was 67.04.

No, it only lists the cities on the cert that I actually said I would go to when I applied. We need someone who put down a wide open GAL to list the cities on this certificate. I am guessing it is about 20-30 again for this hire based on previous postings from some pretty reliable sources.

Someone just PMed me that the cut-off was 67.04. Then that would make this cert even smaller than the last one, and my chances slimmer
