marten77 - looks like two so far have rec'd emails...that are on this board anyhow If so, that's great and my congrats to those two individuals. However, call me a skeptic, but I would prefer to see the e-mail (redacted, of course). I have seen the email but it is not mine so I cannot share it.

With over 4,000 applications it is not likely that all have been processed that quickly. Further, I think there may be seveal days over the next month or more (not just April 29th) for applicants to complete Section Two. It doesn't matter when you complete Section Two whether first or last, as long as you have the opportunity. It is not likely they will have everyone using the same date for completion as it would be too unwieldy for them to use that process considering the number of applicants and the likelihood that approximately 2/3 or more of them probably meet the simple 7-year threshhold to get to Part Two of the Exam.

Those that rec'd or have seen the email, when did you get it and did your status change?

I received it around 11:30 yesterday. I checked my status later in the afternoon and it said something like awaiting results -- you will be notified.

Ok, I am with marten, seems odd that 3 people who just joined in the last 60 days, 1 of which could not figure out how to apply would be the only 3 to receive email. Me thinks my leg is being pulled. The fools day was monday not Thursday.

Do any of you have the following status-- "Application Status Not Available"? Starting to get a sinking feeling...

I just checked and I still have "Pending HR Specialist Action" for my status. I have heard no word one way or the other about moving forward in the exam process (no email received, no change in Application Manager). I applied late afternoon on 3/15, I have a bar number but no veterans points.

Mine has always said pending HR action (just checked and it's still the same). Did yours recently change or was it always status not available?

I too received an email inviting me to take the online test. I know of others who have received similar emails and many who have not. Both groups of people have similar work experiences as me. For that reason, I believe it is completely random as to how OPM is notifying people. I applied on the last day of the announcement, have a bar number, and no vet status.

If you applied through application manager, with its upcoming integration into usajobs, will we be no longer able to check the status of our application?

Sounds like those receiving the positive email also got a link to start the testing on April 29. There is no information available to those folks that is not available to the rest of us already. I did assume they would send emails all at once but since the decision here is not too subjective - you qualify or do not, this would be different than 2009. It would be a quicker process at this point too. We can assume the vast majority who applied will qualify. I still thought it would take longer and I am glad to know we will have a decision by April 29 and can get to the next step - or not. I confirmed back on 3-15 that my application was received, but USAjobs says Application Status Not Available because I applied via application manager. There was a notice buried in the USAjobs website that the status cannot be updated if you apply directly to the agency - or via Application Manager. I missed the 2009 window since I had not prepared the application in advance. Que sera sera.

oscardog - maybe they are reviewing yours as we type. I know it took a minute to get in so maybe they are working on stuff.

I submitted mine on March 11 and it still shows "awaiting HR specialist". Starting to get nervous ...

The applications aren't being assessed based on when they were submitted. I wonder if it is random or possibly alphabetical?

Do any of you have the following status-- "Application Status Not Available"? Starting to get a sinking feeling... I would read that to mean that your application is on someone's desk...or to be more precise, it is open on someone's screen at OPM.

It may be a while before you get an answer to your question as everyone is doing the sample assessment at the website above
