Does anyone have any inside infomation as to when and if the email requests to "ALJ Application Help Desk" ALJApplication@opm.gov are typically or actually answered. Seems very arbitrary and some are not even answered at all. I sent one early on and got a message said a response was waiting for me and to create an opm email account to see the response - I did no and no response.
The second one I sent was about my applicaiton status/application manager/USA Jobs and that wasl well over 24 hours and still nothing.
I do everything in my power to avoid sending an email as I'm sure they are completely overwhelmed but seriously why offer it as an option when requests appear to be ignorned.
Any insider information would be helpful to alleviate some of the frustrations applicants are feeling.

I have no inside information, but before the first cut-off date I sent an e-mail to them. I received the automated message right away - within 24 to 48 hours. I received a substantive response within about a week (maybe 5 days). I had posted two resumes by mistake and I asked what to do. They did answer.

I sent an email during the process, radio silence. I have since sent two more emails after closing, again radio silence. I wouldn't hold my breath.

I still have not gotten an e-mail from OPM one way or the other, and time is running out. I have tried calling the Help Desk phone number at 478 744-2176 for the past hour, and it is just a circuit busy signal. I have sent 2 e-mails to the Help Desk and have only gotten automated replies, no substantive reply. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I am in the pulling my hair out stage. Will my e-mail attempts setting forth a request for an e-mail link if I've made it to the second phase preserve my position. How can I appeal something when I've gotten no NOR? This is a mess!!!! HELP!!!!

HELP!!!! I am so sorry for the predicament you are in! I know the level of frustration you must feel at OPM's lack of response to this very important issue. I too felt helpless when my status was changing and yet no email for weeks. At least I had comfort in getting a rejection so I could move on. I am spit-balling here but maybe you could send a request for assistance to USAJOBS rather than the ALJ helpdesk, see if maybe they can give you some guidance - although who knows if they are responsive to emails. My notice of appeals right email came from: usastaffingoffice@opm.gov. Good luck

This is the email address that was provided during the SJT, etc. testing. I wrote it down just in case but did not need it. Perhaps it is one that has already been mentioned, but I did not see it. Hope it helps. HelpDesk@USAJOBSAssess.gov.

If you missed the first email that same thing may be happening to their responses to you inquiry. Add "ALJApplication@opm.gov" and "assessments@usajobsassess.gov". The second one, "assessments@usajobsassess.gov" is where all my emails have come from. You may also try doing an email search in you junk mail and all other baskets for "assessments@usajobsassess.gov"

Actually I would appeal the lack of notice. At the very minimum you will have tolled your time and put them on notice. As long as you are doing that I would also note your experience again just in case. Copy them with the notice of receipt you received and all the attempts you made at contacting them. It may take a while but someone will eventually contact you

HELP!!!! wannabe, I was in the same boat. I emailed the helpdesk first thing Monday morning and they responded late Tuesday. According to them, I should have received my email inviting me to the next round of the assessment on April 8th but for whatever reason I didn't get the email. Good luck!
