I'm hearing lots of horror stories of people who are clearly qualified to move to the next round receiving the NOR emails. I still haven't heard anything- wondering if there are others out there still in limbo? Sure would be nice if there was some way to check on your application status You should have a NOR letter under "messages" if you go to your USAJOBS account. I had both the NOR and notice of appeal letters in mine. Have you checked there and still nothing?? Is your status "awaiting results?" If so, that would seem to indicate you were passed through to the next round but may be in the situation as others that your email got lost in space i.e., your email server may have tagged it as spam and not even allowed it through to your email account - whether inbox or spam folder. Someone much more tech savvy on this board had indicated that may be the issue with folks not getting anything at all. I believe a couple others in your situation were able to get a duplicate email with the link to testing after contacting the ALJ helpdesk via email. Can anyone corroborate that my intel is correct?

I also have not gotten an email but I do have the "awaiting results" note on my USAjobs account. Can anyone tell me what telephone number I can call to see about reissuing me an email?

USAjobs/Application manager both still say "awaiting results" And I assume it previously said "pending HR review" or something similar? If so, that would seem to indicate you are onto the next step just didn't get the email. Send an email to the ALJ help desk. There is no phone number or live person you can speak with, or if there is, no one on this board has been able to identify the number.

aljapplication@opm.gov is what everyone has been using I believe. However, I too emailed a couple times to this email and nothing other than a confirmation they were working on my issue. That was a month ago, no response. Good luck!

If anyone is wondering what happened, I emailed the helpdesk first thing Monday morning and they responded late Tuesday. According to them, I should have received my email inviting me to the next round of the assessment on April 8th but for whatever reason I didn't get the email. So, i anyone else hasn't received either the NOR or an invitation to complete the net phase, I would email the helpdesk ASAP.

The week of 4/15, I received my email to continue to the next round. But there was no corresponding message in Application Manager when it was still "alive." On 4/30, I completed the online assessments and submitted them. I got an email confirming that these were completed. Because some people were saying they logged into AM through USAjobs, I went there just to check. I logged in, but there are still no corresponding messages. I'm not too worried, but it just shows that this process is not smoothly coordinated. I'm not shocked.

I also now emailed the aljhelpdesk and the next day they forwarded me my invite which appears to have originally dated 4/22/13. I received this yesterday so I have 2 days to get it all done! I am greatful to have even gotten the email though. Thanks for the email info!

I am greatful to have even gotten the email though. Thanks for the email info! Glad you got your invitation to the prom. My husband e-mailed the help desk yesterday, after I did (for the third time) and he got the e-mail with a link today. I still have received absolutely nothing -- no invitation to the prom and no "thanks but no thanks" e-mail. Thus, I am permanently in limbo, apparently. I can't appeal, because I've gotten no NOR and I can't take the online portion of the testing because I've gotten no link. Three e-mails in two weeks and nothing, nothing, nothing.

No NOR or email or anything here either. I submitted my application back on March 5th. Sent an email to the ALJ help desk this morning. What really burns me is that I'm already on the current register! Why folks like me had to go back through this is beyond me. The status of my application on USA Jobs: "Awaiting results - you will be notified."

The status of my application on USA Jobs: "Awaiting results - you will be notified." I understand completely why people like you (and I) had to go back through this completely new process. What is far less understandable are the errors that are already happening, from not getting emails at all to those who clearly have the required experience being found to have not met that requirement.

Actually, I really think that since the requirements did not change-those who were found to be "qualified" by experience in the earlier process should have been able to show that information and be grandmothered into the new process. It might have saved a lot of time and certainly would have at least given the impression that there was some consistency in the measuring of experience. As far as the rest of the process goes-sure people should have to compete again. Now if I am wrong and the qualification requirements are thought to have changed, well then maybe it is understandable that everyone had to go through the process. I do find it ironic that a number of people are not qualified for this register and yet are on the current cert. However, I am much more serene about the process now and less prone to ranting. It is what it is.

My application says the same thing yours does. I have no problem going through the new process for the new register, but after 4 e-mails unanswered in over 10 days, I have concluded that there are some pretty serious glitches that need to be worked out and they are unfairly affecting some of the applicants.

This is a cross post.
One of my writing mentees just advised that OPM says they sent her an Assessment Invitation on April 16, 2013. She received no such email. Neither USAJobs nor Application Manager reflect that any action whatsoever has been taken on her application, and she has been checking them as well as her email every day. She uses AOL. Turns out that none of my prep customers with AOL have received notices. Am now calling them all. Why would the invitation not be reflected on one's USAJobs account or at least reflect the appropriate message on Application Manager? What is someone supposed to do if their ISP eats their mail and OPM doesn't bother to post the message on their application account?

Very serious glitches! I will say, however, that my email to the help desk this morning got a response a few hours later with the letter inviting me to the next level of fiery hoops dated ... April 8! I never got it. I have been closely monitoring my email since I sent in the application, including checking my spam folder, and I NEVER got the letter. Now I have until midnight tomorrow to jump through the three hoops. Sheesh. Good luck to anyone else caught in my situation!

You would think that would have worked. But it didn't. I didn't get the letter until today, and only after contacting the help desk (which was at least responsive). In answer to your question about what someone is supposed to do, you're assuming the someone knows something is amiss. If I hadn't had friends tell me the next phase closed tomorrow, thus spurring me into action, all I would have had to go on is what was in my USA Jobs account - nothing - and I would have been screwed.

I am in the situation that the email they supposedly sent to my AOL account never went through, and I have a screen shot I took of my USAJobs screen indicating that it was still in process. I found out from a friend the day the exam was closing about the glitch so I wasn't able to jump through hoops and take the exam that day.
I wrote an email asking to appeal to the ALJ help desk.
If anyone has any additional information on this please share it. Thank you.

I posted this link in another thread, and although it doesn't help with your appeal in any way, it may offer an explanation why you didn't get your email: www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2013/04/25/how-aol-killed-a-companys-email/I wish you luck in the appeal process, and hope you are afforded an opportunity to take the exam.
