It sounds like some good people didn't make it through the cert or the new register. I'm sad for the claimants more than anything. Great post!

I am with cmet. All is good. My ticket was not golden. But, as others have said, my GAL was very limited--5 cities. I knew it was a very slim chance. I wish everyone good luck in their new cities and all of us who are not changing jobs immediately, the strength and peace to grow and make a unique contribution wherever we are in the universe. For those of you just beginning this journey, take the advice and plan for a marathon--pace yourself. I plan to spend some time "in the moment" and moving ahead. No looking back for "could have beens." Life is too short. As my spouse reminded me, health and love--everything else is just noise. So as Patiently put it, "Peace out for now."

Well said:)

Those of you that did not get offers- you are in my thoughts. I have observed this process for about six years and some people don't even try out of fear and it takes a tremendous amount of energy- it took courage for you to go through this challenging process- I hope that when the dust settles you can take pride in knowing you didn't sit on the sidelines- you played the game! This too shall pass...

one of the many positives was to have been associated, albeit virtually, with my colleagues on this board - such a class act you all are. Above the door of our ROTC unit was the motto: "Upon the battlefield of defeat, lie the seeds that on another battlefield, and at another time, will reap the fruits of victory." There is plenty more success to be had. It took alot of head knocks, but I finally understand the game. Clearly, I will have to move out of my comfort zone. Trust me, you folks have what it takes in whatever pursuit you undertake. Godspeed and peace out!
