Anyone have suggestions on where to grab a bite between the Written Demonstration (WD) and Logic Based Measurement Test (LBMT)? The notice says we've got one hour between the two tests. I don't want to go far afield, and I don't want to eat from a vending machine. Is there any place close that serves reasonably nutritious food? Or should I bring a sack lunch? I imagine all the nearby restaurants will be packed at the noon hour.

We were given specific instructions not to leave the building.

There is a reason why they have a cafeteria in the builing. Closest place is about three blocks away from what I recall. You have to cross streets, stand in line with other folks and then eat and get back in time. When I was there I got 55 minutes and I would have been crazy to try to go out for lunch. I hear smoking breaks are possible.

We were given specific instructions not to leave the building. Ditto. No one left the group I was in and it was highly discouraged with an admonition that you may not be able to return. So no one left. Cafeteria style place to eat right there in the building. Time flew by, so no big deal. They did have a salad bar.

Yup, the OPM caf was perfectly fine, plenty to choose from.

Brought my lunch but OPM cafeteria looked great compared to other gov't cafeterias I've visited.

Based on everyone's comments, here's my vision of lunch in the OPM cafeteria on exam day:

@ funkyodar
When I see your handle, I'm always reminded of the Wilson Pickett song "Funky Broadway." It would be fun to re-write the song with ODAR-related lyrics:
Every town I go in There's a street, uh, huh Name of the street now, huh Funky funky Broadway
Down on Broadway, huh There's a nightclub, now, now Name of the nightclub, now baby Funky funky Broadway
Down on Broadway There's a crowd, now, huh Name of the crowd, baby Broadway crowd
Down on broadway, yeah There's a dancestep, huh Name of the dance Funky funky Broadway, hey, huh

There is no "prison march" to the cafeteria and once there, lots of food options that were pretty good. I found it a pretty quick option to eat, relax, and then reflect before entering the twilight zone of the LBMT.

There is a Starbucks directly across the street (or two streets) from OPM. I bought my lunch there when I picked up my coffee in the morning. You can't leave the building and you are marched to the cafeteria by the proctor.
