Hi, members,
Well, I'm in the same boat as some of you. On this recent cert and one other, expanding my GAL in 2012--wide open--but not selected.
I was an elected state court judge for 6 years hearing misdemeanor cases and civil suits with lower damage claims--narrowly defeated when my party was slipping in popularity in the jurisdiction. Have a documented record of managing a docket of thousands and thousands of cases efficiently. Prior and subsequent private practice where I have handled Social Security disability appeals, civil rights cases in federal trial and appellate courts, and general jury and non-jury litigation in state court.
Not invited to the WD/interview phase this go around. I really don't get it and am reasonably certain I will appeal.
I wanted to start this thread hoping seasoned forum members would advise yours truly and similarly situated who may want to take that step. For starters I would like to know when in the process we do that, what an appeal entails, and success rates for past appeals.
Thanks.
