Now that the completes are being reported y'all need further distractions. Howzabout some limericks? I'll draft the first (the memory, while years old, is still fresh):
Now that I have changed to “complete” My waiting will not be as discreet I’m poised for an NOR I trust there will be no scar When my score is polled against the elite.

Terrible, but I appreciate the effort.

I've been certified as Complete Life seemed so suddenly sweet But I shouldn't gab There's a "See Details" tab So now I'm in full-blown retreat.

And here I am, trying to shoehorn "remand" and "Crapland" into a limerick. A greater challenge would be a haiku. However, I'm too lazy to start such a thread or submit an entry. I can only take potshots at the creative people attempting such work. I guess I am a "born critic".

There was a list in Nantucket, with a bunch of names in the bucket; I do see my name, I don’t see my name, Well, I think it's just time to chuck it!

I’ve sat here all year and I’ve stewed. OPM has been really quite rude. They should send me my score And add ten points more To make up for their damn attitude.
This wait has been really insane, A continual drag on my brain. Will my fate be remand To the wastes of Crapland? Or the job version of fine Champagne? (Thanks Superbonbon!)
Oh, I know I must get a grip Can’t let my sanity slip. So I’ll read all these threads Rip my poor nails to shreds, While this torture continues its drip.
Creating these was such fun But now I am done Merry Christmas to you all!

To think I was holding a grudge Sure my "status" would not ever budge Now it's changed to "complete" Which seems unlike defeat And gives hope to this wannabe judge

Can you believe nine months have passed by Since we started this journey on high? If you're on the brink, You might want to drink "Situational Bourbon"--or cry.

Not really a limerick, but here goes: 'Twas the night before Christmas And in many a house, Passersby could hear A familiar grouse: We took their darned tests And patiently waited, For the OPM drudges to finally be sated. But on the USAjobs site, lo and behold, We saw that our status was changed and in bold Some said "complete" And some said "see details" But we all heaved a sigh At last, word from on high. My birthday is soon And I hope that the tune Will herald more ... Like an NOR with a middling to high score.

The comment was made last time around that the time to create the register and the gestation period for a human baby were about the same. Some things have not changed.

Life is a box of chocolates And not just a complete For One who emigrates To the ALJ feat
I choose to be optimistic In the face of upcoming news And not be pessimistic With only negative board views

And a family member commented that the change in status is kind of like the beginning of labor . . . it's coming, but we don't know when or what it will be!

So now, there's this gal from New York, Who had hoped to pop the NOR cork, Now that analogy's gone, And like a sine qua non, She hopes for the OPM stork(?)
