In addition to your DD 214 and VA letter, did you also submit a SF-15 to request your 10-point preference?

Yes, the SF-15 is required. TheDD 214 and the VA letter support your SF-15 declaration.

Thanks - just sent in my paperwork today. Took a while to get my VA letter.

Juno,
I'm not a vet, though I am the son of a disabled vet and was taught early to appreciate, honor and respect those that serve(d). Thank you.
Still, I rarely venture into the vet pref specific threads because the topic doesn't apply to me. I read this one last nite tho and a thought occurred. Your situation may offer a big evidentiary key to our current status speculation. Would you mind disclosing whether you are "complete" or "see details"?
If you are in "see details" and see a change to "complete" once they get your VA letter that could be a sign that "see details isn't necessarily the KOD but merely means they are still working on your file. Of course it could also mean you didn't have the minimum without vet points but meet it with them and then it may not mean much to anyone else.
Contrarily, if you were "complete" even without the VP points...well, that could have meaning as well.
In short, if you getting your vet points added at this late stage causes a status change or not, that's a datapoint for our conundrum of contrived confusion.

I am in a fairly unique situation - I was a 5-point at the beginning of the process and had my service connected disability approved over the summer. I wanted to be very cautious, as I had made the DC phase, so I did not want to start over with a new application as a 10-pointer - figuring, worst case, I get the 10-point on an appeal, if not sooner, or that I could immediately re-apply (althought that's what I was trying to avoid). I never submitted an SF-15 - I asked in my email to the ALJ team - twice. When they finally responded, they indicated that I just needed to submit the VA letter - which I did. I got an update email while I was driving to DC for testing. I currently show 10-points through Application Manager and I am a straight "Complete".
However, because of my fairly unique situation, take this FWIW - they may come back to me and ask for a SF-15 at some point. But, not so far and it has not affected my status - thus far.

My application manager reads that my DD 214 was not received. I finally decided to submit my DD 214. Lets see if this changes anything. My application manager never stated that I received my 10 points veteran's preference.

I am showing as "see details" - not complete. Not sure if my non-submission of SF-15 is the reason. My details tab shows SF-15 as "not received." I am not sure this clarifies the current confusion...

My application manager never stated that I received my 10 points veteran's preference. True, I don't get your post. Are you a veteran or not? A DD-214 only entitles you to possibly receive 5 points, not 10 points. You need a ratable disability to receive the 10 point preference, which is documented on a SF-15 and a letter from VA. Even certain active duty senior military officer retirees do not get 5 points, whereas most if not all reservists get a 5 point preference, regardless of rank. If you have a DD-214 and haven't scanned it in and submitted it, you need to give yourself a Christmas present and do that today!

I emailed it to the ALJ help desk a couple of hours ago. I am a 10 pt vet. I thought I only needed the SF-15 and a vet preference letter. I feel sort of silly.

Hey, silly may be good this time of year, but losing out on your hard earned 10 points would be terrible. I hope you get your points added, even if that means you jump ahead of me on the register!

Thanks for the info juno. Will be interested in knowing if your stat changes to "complete" after opm gets your vp docs.

The ALJ help desk contacted me to let me know that they added my DD-214. The Application Manager now reads: DD-214 user uploaded. The Application Package status is still "See Details".

Give it a few days true to see if the status changes. I don't think it changes that quickly automatically. If not changed by next week, then who knows why it states "See Details" for you?

For vets who submitted a DD-214, VA 10-pt letter, and SF-15, does it show "user upload"? For my two most recent documents it shows "user upload" but my original DD-214 submitted with my application in March shows "upload."
Any significance to this or am I just over-analyzing?

Juno, I just checked and all my documents (including VP docs) that were uploaded in March just say "upload". Perhaps OPM has further tweaked AM to now discern between user uploads, agency uploads, etc. Just a guess, but I wouldn't sweat it either way. As long as the correct documents are attached to your application in AM, then you should be good to go. Good luck.
