The First Act of this Greek Tragedy (sorry for the majority that's what it is) is over with the release of the NORs.
Alot of you are really set back on your heels with a score that belies your well received briefs, law review articles, highly succcessful interviews and passage of bars on the first try. To those who did not make it you are in good company for alot have risen like Lazarus and donned the Robe at a later date. My own story is one of them. Fact is you are all freeky smart, wickedly capable and for the most part would make really well tempered and efficient ODAR ALJs. This prize also favors the hungry over the content. For those who got high scores, you go Dudes and Girls!
The Second Act now begins as The Funkster has outlined. I remember every aspect of my interview and it was six years ago.
As I advised--what a month or so ago, its also time for the references. I know a few who were likely a lock who got deep-sixed there. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

And before anyone asks: skirt or pant suit? Whichever one looks better on you. Keep the beard or shave it off? If you look like a cast member of Duck Dynasty-trim it back. Black suit or navy? Wear what you wore to your OPM interview, it got you this far. Paper or plastic? Quit asking dumb questions. Better yet-ignore this advice and do what you want, more jobs for me

Paper or plastic? Neither, but I got a receipt on my way out.
