I just filed my new Vet Preference application and resume. My GAL is only two cities. Mrs. Colonel and the Little Colonels don't want to move. I'm 0-2, maybe "third time's the charm." Col In my house I was the LTC and it was Mrs. General (aka "Mrs. Jagvet") and the little privates. Alas, my little soldiers are all grown up with families of their own, and Mrs. Jagvet and I are flexible. That said, #usmccol, I only had 4 local cities on my GAL. If it's your destiny, you'll get it. Just don't give up. In my HO, we have three former Army officers and one former marine officer. We’re a little more diverse... One former Naval officer, One former Army officer, and one enlisted Marine/Army artilleryman. But jagvet is right. Don’t give up...

Update for any 10 pointers who may be reviewing this thread prior to submitting: I did receive communication back from OPM. I submitted my application on the 2016 announcement form. They replied back and told me to put it on the 2017 announcement form. I'm glad I didn't wait until the end of December to submit. Further update: So I opened up the 2017 application form to transfer my information into and found that while the first page had a 2017 announcement number and dates, the header and footer still have 2016 information. Thus, if you look at page 2 of the 2016 application and page 2 of the 2017 application, the header and footer information is the same. This is from the same scumbags that kick you to the curb because you dare to omit the day you were admitted to the bar and only list month and year.

Any word on those NORs?
I took the 10-pt exam in November too (rescheduled from August because I was OCONUS). On my first go-around (this is my second) I got NOR (bad news) in about 2.5 months...which would put us sometime around...now. I wonder if no news is good news?
FYI/SA: I don't know about anyone else, but I can't check the aXXXXXXXX mXXXXXXXXXX for updates because of the way I applied (via email). My USAJOBS profile does not include this particular application.

I think next week around February 6 or 7 NOR's for 10 pointers testing in November. I am using someone else's timeline from July testing as a 10 point vet to come up with that.

I was thinking that this week was soonest, and more likely next week or the week after. I'm basing that on the alternate session in November being after Thanksgiving.

It's nerve wracking. I keep thinking any time now.... just received my NOR for 10 or veterans testing this past November. I think it's a decent score. Me, too. I did get a score, and I'm happy with it. E-mail came in at 9:15 Eastern time with the appeal notice arriving within the same minute. The appeal notice comes no matter what, because one can appeal even with a numerical score. Thanks to all 10-point vets who have provided enough information in the past to allow me to have an idea of when scores would be released. I'd figured that this week was the latest that they would come out based on the last people doing WD/SI in DC the week after Thanksgiving. It followed the timeline for releasing scores to the bigger group in terms of the number of weeks between the last testing dates and release of NORs.

Just in time for next cert Maybe. It’s definitely in time for the next set of certs. Whether it’s “just in time” remains to be seen.

Here's hoping that the appropriations bills are passed quickly so new starts are allowed. Since it's this congress, though, probably going to be right as the current CR is inching toward expiring on 3/22. Or like last week, right after it does.

Congrats to my fellow veterans who just received their NORs and were placed on the Register! Now - please board the next roller coaster. Make certain your safety bars are pulled down and latched and your hands and feet are inside the car. The next up and down ride will begin - immediately.

The new 10 point vets may want to vote in the poll for NOR scores of people still on the register. That way those of us already waiting can see how many were added ahead of us. Congrats btw.

Filed 10-Point application on/about 5 Dec 2017. Finally got my invitation for the online portion a couple days ago and just finished it today (30 March 18). Glad to see there's movement here.
Congratulations to those of you added to the register.
