If the certs arrived from OPM last week, according to Acemidnight's calculations in this thread stubby pencil it would break all land speed records for notifications to come out today. I would love to be wrong. What was the spring 2014 timeline? anyone remember when ODAR received the certs from OPM? Emails from Bob went out on 2 May. I think that was approximately 30ish days from when ODAR received the certs. Next week would be blazing speed. I hope I am wrong, but if the cert emails come out today through next week, it will most likely be for just a few cities. Depends. There are multiple timelines with the first cert. I don't believe the ones they received at the beginning of April and the certs that were emailed out were identical. There was significant haggling after the first part of April. I believe it was a two-week turnaround once things settled down.

hopeful, I'll rely on your memory and wish for a 2 week turnaround. If interviews are mid-November, then we should see some movement next week!

There was a week or two between the time we got credible reports the certs had been received by ODAR until the notification emails went out. The cert notification emails went out on May 2nd, 2014 (Friday) - interviews convened exactly 1 month later, on June 2, 2014.
That's the timeline I am basing - "Can't happen before Thanksgiving" now, prediction. Emails today, even (which look less and less likely as things wind down on the East Coast) would correspond to December 1st, 2014 interviews - based on the timeline last time. That would be doable for 3 weeks of interviews before the EOY dead weeks. But, then we're looking at offers going out in mid-to-late January, too late to meet the January 26th date that is confirmed by board members.
Looks like a mess from here. Hopefully, there is a method to the apparent madness.

Since a bunch of you fell for a silly trick, I'll throw out a treat in honor of Halloween: an anonymous source indicated yesterday that the interview dates are now definitely set for mid November and the ALJ interviewers have been notified to report for duty. No additional information was provided, so this is all the treat I got. Hang in there and good luck. ALJD - on this note - has this source provided information in the past? Has that information proved to be accurate, inaccurate or mixed in accuracy? On significant timeline issues? Sorry for the 3rd degree, but this is a big deal - We're 2 weeks from "mid-November" - we're inside of 4 weeks from Thanksgiving, 8 weeks from Christmas and 9 weeks from New Year's - that seems impossible with no reports of certificate emails to any board members.

Hi all! It's been awhile for me. My 2 cents. If ALJD's itel is good and interviews are happening in mid November, wouldn't that point to a small number of new interviewees? I can't imagine gearing up for a large scale interview process on that short notice.
Although, if they emailed me today and said they wanted to interview me Monday, I would be there ... early.

So excited for everyone! Hang in there if you're still waiting, there's no rule saying they have to send all the emails on one day. My advice: buy a 5,000 piece jigsaw puzzle to occupy your anxious mind over the weekend. It's gonna be a loooooooong one.

FWIW (I know I don't post often), I know one of the interviewers and got the same info as ALJD. As unlikely as it may seem, with our inboxes/spam boxes still barren at this hour, mid-Nov. interviews ARE happening - travel is being arranged. Week of Veteran's Day and the following week (at least). No idea as to the size of the cohort that has been summoned (i.e., interviewers) or will be summoned (interviewees) to Falls Church.

"Week of Veterans Day"--wow!?!? To clarify: that week, but after Veteran's Day itself (which is on Tuesday Nov. 11). And including Saturday.

Actually, I don't think this thread should have been revived UNTIL 2nd certs emails were actually out, if at all. Now we have pages of confusion. Even then, better to ask ALJD to bump it as a resource and then lock it. To have new posts in these old, time specific threads is not helpful, IMO.

See chessparent for the justification for reviving this thread now. I read chess' post. I think it would have been more helpful for "newby scobies" when there is a second cert or set of certs. Then, a link to this thread could have been posted without reopening it, with its confusing title and a fair number of posts that don't matter after the fact. That's all.
