I guess you guys weren't fans of that TV show. I loved that show. Pretty much anything Mandy Patinkin was ever in is amazing. Everyone should stop what they are doing and find Dead Like Me on their streaming video service of choice. I hated it when they cancelled it. It was a terrific show, which had way too short a run. I was glad when I discovered they had done a movie sequel, which was good but not as outstanding as the show.

If SSA didn't like folks on the first certs, then it should have three-struck us, but it didn't. Sorry, mpd, but I don't buy it. More folks does allow for more manipulation of the offers, but I don't believe SSA didn't like the rest of us first cert'ers. When SSA doesn't hire some new second cert folks, I won't assume that it is because SSA didn't like them (in some cases it is true, but not across the board-just too much of a generalization). I believe other factors were in play, like time, new rules for offers, and class size. You are right Miss....let's just say SSA wanted to see more choices prior to msking more determinations on hires. As you know, I have stated you would get a position, so please don't get mad at me. I am only passing on info from some high up SSA insiders in the know. Yes, there were indeed some folks three struck from the first cert, more than you might think. I think those who made this cert from the first cert are likely to be the ones in the January class. So keep up the hope Miss, I am pulling hard for you to get a position. . (Edited for clarity)

Gary,
Have you seen Mr. Patinkin's opus "Elmo In Grouchland"? Its a true showcase of his amazing acting and singing chops. Really shocked he didn't get an Oscar for that performance, you guys.
Signed: my kid.

I believe other factors were in play, like time, new rules for offers, and class size. You are right Miss it was a bad choice of words....let's just say SSA wanted to see more choices prior to msking more determinations on some of those left over from first cert. Not mad at all, mpd. I know you wish me well, and I am so grateful. Thank you. This is just the generalization that I take personally (as my board buds know) and I am staging a one-woman, hopefully peaceful, rebellion.

Highly recommend if you like British gangsters! Doesn't have Mandy Patinkin, but it is very entertaining!

I believe you mean, "incontheivable!"
Isn't "inconceivable" a two-edged description of "Jane the Virgin?"

Mandy's great, but I've read that he can be a first class a-hole. I don't know why I care, but I do, and it makes me less likely to enjoy his performance. But at least he admits it and regrets it, so there's that.

Sorry thankful1 for my misunderstanding. He is handsome. I bet the elder girl is beautiful, too. I am sorry, but as you can see by my avatar, I am a little partial to dogs over cats. I love all animals, but my favorite are dogs.

I grew up with one cat. from age 5 to 23. Didn't get a dog until after law school, but always knew I wanted a Golden. I so love dogs and cats. So different. Apologies - because I can't help myself--- one's 15, the other 5 months or so:

I think if you were talking about 15 year old two legged kids, you wouldn't be oohing and aahing. That's when the aliens take over!

Actually, Mizz, it has been my experience that the aliens take over at about, age 13. At that point, both parents lose all of their common sense. Fortunately, they regain what they lost when the child is about age 18 or 19.
Thankful1: I love your photos. They are great! Another animal lover I see. Pix.
