since there is an office in Ft Worth and this came across my computer today-
Fort Worth is actually ranked one of the most underrated cities in America, according to a reader poll. However, with the perfect combination of nature trails, nightlife, the awesome art and music scene, and the well-preserved cowboy culture, there's no reason not to visit! or i guess move to. Don't rule out Cowtown!

Ft. Worth is definitely cowtown with a substantial measure of Dallas envy, but that doesn't mean it is a bad place to live and work. Quite the contrary. Pixie.

www.fortworth.com/i did not mean to make Ft. Worth City of the day but let's go with it. Plusses: decent area and place to live. Near DFW airport so easy to get to and from. For those who like sports, it is closer to Cowboys Stadium and Ballpark at Arlington then Dallas. Some culture but not like one could find in NYC or DC Easy to get to Dallas if you want to visit but generally less bustling than Dallas. TCU is there adding to the culture. Texas does not have a state income tax!! Minuses: It gets hot... Not terribly humid but summers have plenty of days in the 90's and 100's. Geographically, it's ok looking but there are much prettier spots in the country. high sales tax and to offset no income tax, many places in Texas have high property taxes. of course, this can be offset some on tax return but be aware of it.

It may be a surprise to some of you that - if you want to purchase a home there - Texas has no zoning. So if you purchase real estate, unless you are in a deed-restricted area that restricts development by private deed, it is generally the case that someone can come along and put a strip mall, Walmart, rehab, disco or gun range next door and you have very little recourse. This can greatly affect your property value. Not that there's anything wrong with a strip mall, Walmart, rehab, disco or gun range, just that normally one might not envision them outside of a district established for those purposes.

No Covington Ga info yet??? Well let me share a bit of info that will get someone hopping to teach us more about that city: some of the Dukes of Hazard episodes were filmed in and around Covington, Georgia. The floodgates are now open...woo hoo!
Edit: I was not a fan after the age of 45, 50, I mean 9 years old.

Interestingly, when you Google "Covington, GA ODAR" you see a map on the side with a red logo under it saying permanently closed. Does anyone have any information on that?
Wikipedia has this to say about Covington.
Covington is a city and the county seat of Newton County, Georgia.[4] It is located 35 miles southeast of Atlanta, Georgia. As of 2012, its population was 13,347.

Since Fayetteville, NC came up yesterday.
Fayetteville (/ˈfeɪətˌvɪl/) is a city in Cumberland County, North Carolina, United States. It is the county seat of Cumberland County,[3] and is best known as the home of Fort Bragg, a major U.S. Army installation northwest of the city.
Fayetteville has received the All-America City Award from the National Civic League three times. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 200,564,[4] with an estimated population of 204,408 in 2013.[5] It is the sixth-largest municipality in North Carolina. Fayetteville is in the Sandhills in the western part of the Coastal Plain region, on the Cape Fear River.
With an estimated population in 2013 of 377,193,[6] the Fayetteville metropolitan area is the largest in southeastern North Carolina, and the fifth-largest in the state. Suburban areas of metro Fayetteville include Fort Bragg, Hope Mills, Spring Lake, Raeford, Pope Field, Rockfish, Stedman, and Eastover. Fayetteville's mayor is Nat Robertson, who is serving his second term.[7
I would add to the lovely description yesterday that without visiting Fayetteville I bet they have great Korean food and an abundance of tattoo parlors.
