They hired one in June: www.sec.gov/News/PressRelease/Detail/PressRelease/1370542202073#.VAE8lnl0yvEAnd the article says they planned at that time on bringing in one more. I guess that's what they're doing now. Seems to me they requested a cert back in March, hired Mr. Grimes off it in June, and are now getting around to hiring a second from that same cert. Since they're hiring a tiny number of people, and tons of folks have Wash DC on their GAL, I would think you'd need 80++ to be on their cert.

Interesting, I read that at the time as they had hired a second judge but were waiting to announce it when the new ALJ started. I wonder whether the 2nd person fell through or if they figured there would be plenty of people available still?
Either way good luck whoever they call.

At the time I read it as Gaidin did. Now I'm reading it as Robespierre does. I can't decide whether I'm wishy or washy.

I don't see how they'll be able to hire for this off the March cert. Maybe they're seeing if anyone is still available and interested before asking for a supplemental cert.

I readily agree that there are two ways to reasonably read the 6/30 press release.
But we know from A-Mom's post that the bottom line is that they're looking to hire an ALJ. It'll be very interesting to see whether they do so from the cert they got in March, or if they have to pull a new one. Unfortunately, we may never know, because the numbers of candidates involved is so small that we can't rely on them posting here.
SEC ALJ would pretty much be my dream job. Ah well. Should've studied harder for the testing. Or served my country.
