Owl, you are always welcome here. you don't know that you are necessarily fodder, low score isn't the only quality that fodder has. The "top choice" could barf on his shoes at the interview and you don't, so you're not the fodder you thought you were!

I second what sealaw says. You never know. So hope for the best, and don't psych yourself out.
But I have been told, from reliable first centers as well as sitting ALJs, that barfing on the interviewers is considered poor form, so try to avoid it.
By the way, Owl, you have a wicked sense of humor -- Throbbies, indeed!

That is one of my biggest worries - someone gives you a mediocre endorsement or a compliment that is anything but, and you are toast!

Yes, It's occurred to me that being left off this dance card means that there's more time to beef up my contacts with my references and that would be time well spent.
I'm not so sure "Throbbies" works. I was thinking we're the Charmers (as in Third Time's the Charm).

I am all in for this third cert hopeful club. My city didn't show up again but I am going to live in blissful ignorance in my belief that it will. Congratulations to everyone on the second and good luck to everyone waiting on the 3rd.

Baltimore, a 2nd cert city, is also known as 'charm city'. I would be reminded of that if we referred to ourselves as Charmers. Any other ideas? 3-C's Triads tres leches Life of Pi (3 is the closest whole number to pi)
We could be in the first cert of 2015 - does that give us any ideas?

There's got to be a good name out there. We'll find it as the dust settles down after a while

Crap. That's a much better name than "Scobbies." Well done, Max.

Sealaw, thank you for the vote of confidence. The creative juices sometimes take a few days (especially when DoD decides to give me a string of 14-hour days), but I do like the trifectas. The Triads would be a close second, were the name not already taken by a notorious criminal gang. I will vote for the Trifectas for now, and shall contemplate further. Thanks, Max and Sealaw!

Max may have come up with the perfect name, but Cheesy definitely nailed the motto.

I just want to say that I hope some of you hit the Trifecta today with the apparent supplemental certs. Good luck to you all. I am reasonably certain that after my joyous trip to DC I will be joining you awaiting another round of hiring.

To quote what a very wise man said in another thread, what Gaidin said.

I fully expect the same as Gaidin for myself -- I'll interview but December will probably come and go without that magic call from Bob about any of the 9 cities on my cert list. Love the name Trifecta!
