Thanks in Advance- Cinder According to the ODAR Hearing Office Locator page, they're still in the same building I used to visit close to 10 years ago. That's in downtown San Diego (not far from the baseball stadium). Parking is in the building, I had to drive up a long, twisting, ramp, up about 6 or 7 stories or so, to reach the in-building garage.

Beautiful town. I believe I heard it was discovered by the Germans in 1904. Named "San Diego", which in German means "whale's girl thingy"

Beautiful town. I believe I heard it was discovered by the Germans in 1904. Named "San Diego", which in German means "whale's girl thingy" The best part is that one of its suburbs is Rainbow. But a bunch of short people live there. And everyone has a big pot in their yards. Weird. They're very protective of them, so it's impossible to know what's in the pots in Rainbow...

Such misinformation in this thread, it makes a man like to weep. Everyone knows that the city of San Diego was founded in 1969 when the Padres were created by the National League of Base Ball Clubs. The "Diego" in San Diego was named for promising rookie right-hander Diego Segui (who, oddly, was playing for the Seattle Pilots and not the San Diego Padres). Then San Diego also acquired the Los Angeles Chargers, who were never heard from again. Later on, there were some naval bases and good weather, and Steve Martin played a mobster hiding out there in that one movie he made. And now you know... the rest of the story.

Thanks in Advance- Cinder There are currently 10 ALJs wanting to transfer to the San Diego ODAR. Good luck! ...and the transfer list doesn't include ALJs who are part of management and may want to transfer there. ...and the first ALJ on the list has been waiting nearly 5 years (since 11/18/09) for a reassignement offer.

...and the first ALJ on the list has been waiting nearly 5 years (since 11/18/09) for a reassignement offer. I know a 2011 hire who was offered a transfer to San Diego this year (not management). So while the wait was long, it wasn't quite as bad as 5 years. However, that doesn't mean it won't jump up to 5 years now that they filled a bunch of empty offices. It's not a town people transfer out of.
