New E-mail:
To: All Chief ALJs
The Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals (OMHA) is seeking to fill Supervisory Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) positions in our Cleveland, Ohio and Kansas City, Missouri Field Offices.
Please share this solicitation with the ALJs in your organization. Information concerning how to apply is contained within the attached memorandum.
Thank you in advance for your assistance in helping OMHA communicate this opportunity to the national ALJ community.
Sent by: Executive Office for Nancy J. Griswold Chief Administrative Law Judge Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals Department of Health and Human Services
Even though this doesn't affect you all directly, every ALJ hired for Medicare opens up a slot for a newbie!!

It just might effect everyone indirectly. These appear to be the same slots that a few of us off the first cert interviewed for. At that time, OMHA also solicited for ALJs from SSA (then interviewed a handful of newbies). If they don't get transfers, they just might ask for another certificate....at least that's how it played out last time. Good luck everyone.

Weren't they supposedly going to open an office in Denver? Got moved to KC. I remember that happening but I thought I recalled that they were still planning on opening the Denver office but at a later date.

I hope current ALJs recognize this as a marvelous opportunity to escape Orlanod Park. So I'm assuming 5 board members have Orland Park on their list : )
