Nope. I know of three, including me. One was a fed, but not ssa. The other was a outsider in both ways if I recall correctly. Thanks Funky. Good to know.

Not sure about the others, but mine went to my Gmail.

After 2 years, and being this close, I'm not ready to throw in the towel. I'm hoping that ODAR sees my light at the end of their tunnel. I'm not quitting my day job in the process, but wishing I could do that soon! Uh, you do know that being an SSA ALJ would be another day job, don't you? Well, I guess that puts the kabosh on having intimate late night hearings.

Just a friendly reminder. I, and at least a few others, got their offer via email not the much ballyhooed and anxiously awaited call from Bobellinda. After receiving the email, I actually called Bob just to make sure it wasn't Tigerlaw somehow screwing with me. And I got that email later in the day on a Friday. So, remember to check your email and spam folders. That winning ticket you are hoping for could just be in the trash. Good luck everybody. Funk Funky, Tigerlaw screw with you, really? LOL! Why would Tigerlaw do so? LOL! Thanks for my laugh of the day.

Congrats to all who received a call or an email. You have worked hard through a process that is challenging and tiresome. The marathon is over. Time for some well deserved oxygen.

And for those who didn't get the call this time, hopefully we will get more chances this year!

Uhmm no. They got us from 0 to people sitting in new offices between November and January this past year. They can make it work here if you believe that this is anything more than ODAR needing to stop the flood of requests to delay. Guys I don't think its over for this round. I THINK we have at least a day or two more BUT we may not. It may be over until the week after next or August or September or who knows when. That is a bitter pill for me to swallow but its true. If you're ready to throw in the towel then I guess thats your choice. Just go ahead and send Bob the email and copy OPM on it. If you're not sure how to write the email pm me and I will write it up for you. I'm down in the dumps myself gang and I feel like I'm back in grade school and not getting picked to be on the kickball team. I'm just not giving up. So feel free to PM me if you need an email written or if you just need some encouragement. I told my wife " Billy and Bobby and Joey got picked for the team but not me!"

I just received the formal email with the relocation information (for current feds), so check your email if you are expecting one for the June 29th start date.

My gut says we have a few more offers over the next day or two. If you get one please let us know.

My gut says they are done Gaidin for the June class. The only question is when will the next set of certs arrive, so more hiring can begin for the following class whenever that is scheduled.

If they are finished hiring for the June 29 class, I count a signicant number of cities remaining from the 65 that had April certs for which they could hire and still fill another class. The class would be of similar size to the May and June class and they would not need additional certs to pick a day and start hiring. I hope Bob and Melinda are reading this!

If we don't get some votes this afternoon from folks who were in court all day then you're right. I am inclined to agree with you now but want to say I believe there is a small basis to hope.

The question really is do they have a class scheduled? If so then yes I think they can do that. There are probably 15/20 cities on the list that got no hiring.

I just received a most interesting PM from a long time lurker. They were offered a position for the May class but had some issues that required a deferral. They were deferred to August 10.

This is very interesting. When I got my offer last week I asked to defer because I am in private practice and (not surprisingly) have a very difficult few weeks to deal with a trial, finding people to take on my existing cases, wrap up my practice and travel 3000 miles to my new office. I was told no date was set for the next class so no deferral was possible. August 10th had been reported as the next class start date weeks ago. That I was told the next class date wasn't set yet just tells us that ODAR is not going to allow any deferrals going forward absent extraordinary circumstances. Be forewarned.

I'm not sure I believe extraordinary circumstances will cut it going forward. I think they have changed policies because of what they perceive as to many deferrals.
