Has anyone received notice of an extension of elligibility? My original NOR expires Dec. 20, 2015, and unless it was mixed in with other stuff, I am not aware of an extesion.

Worry, you may. In OPM, you must trust. I can be wrong and since China has all of records, we can all be out of luck.

In the past, the extension email came closer in time to the expiration date.

Contrarywise: There has been no extension of eligibility yet. But the overwhelming weight of opinion on this board is that there will be one. SSA wants to hire hundreds of ALJs, and no new register is in sight, so what else can be done but extend the current register?

My advice is to not worry. That date is merely a placeholder due to the original programmer error when designing the Application Manager website (I'm kinda down on IT folks this week, so I blame them for almost everything) Although there are many jobs that OPM must compete through testing and ranking of applicants, I do not think very many other job classifications that OPM works with come even close to taking as long to hire the eligible candidates as the ALJ process does. SO...they originally input the longest date the program will allow, and then adjust later. We've got plenty of time folks, you will be finished with your Thanksgiving leftovers before you see any movement on this, but in any case, you will NOT be dropped from the ALJ candidate list unless of course you want to be.

Reader and participant in polls. Welcome long time listener first time caller contrary :-) if if I had to guess, I would say your eligibility will be extended to November 30, 2018. The NOR I just received on November 9, 2015 states, "Eligibility Expires: 11/30/2018." It would seem logical that would be the consistent expiration date for all on the register. Requiring all candidates to take the LBMT must mean OPM values logic, right?
