I cannot begin to stress this enough absolutely nothing about this process will be as quick as you think it should and while I remember the stress of waiting for my NOR it was easier than the next wait.

I totally understand. Every stage in this process has been filled with anxiety and anticipation. The closer you get to the ultimate desired end the more it builds, and you can look back on the stage before and say, I am glad I made it pass that stage, but this new stage in the process is filled with even more stress than the one before. I wish you get the call soon and have enjoyed learning and reading your messages and so many others, as well. There are a lot of good people on this forum. I have been a lurker for a long time.
Right now I am waiting for my NOR. This part of the process is difficult, but once I receive the elusive NOR (with a score!!) and move onto the next step (hopefully on the register waiting to get the call!!), I am sure that will be my new obsession. Long and short of it, everyone is in a different stage in the process and their stage and level of stress is real for them. Once you get pass the hurdle you realize an even greater challenge awaits you. Becoming an ALJ is truly a test of wills, and patience.

For those of us who are waiting for NORs, look for an email, as Judge Pumpkin reported as follows (excerpted) in an earlier thread: . . . Of course, back then, she was just one of us. I still am - "one of us" board members - and damn lucky to have found all of you folks, I am.

Crazy question but I have a missed call today from a number in Washington DC. When I called the number back,a recording said its not in service. Knowing no one in DC, I am wondering if maybe it's related to the NOR? Or just wishful thinking... I, too, received a phone call from a 202 number while anxiously awaiting "the call" - it was a fine upstanding member of the IRS warning me that they were going to file a lawsuit against me for unpaid taxes unless I provided them with my credit card number immediately. The real call came from 703, but rumor on the boards has it that some have received the real call from an 800 type toll free number. So, you just have to answer those calls, even if it is the IRS on the other end.

I know (or if not, hope) you are joking, but for others benefit, I think US Government debt (other than student loans in proper payment status) was a background check question/issue after you get the call. So keep your house in order around tax time. Offers are conditional on clearing that background check.

'Tis true that I received the fraudsters' robo call phishing for credit card numbers. However, you make a very good point -- debt which might lead one to question if you'd be subject to influence for financial gain is a real issue in the background investigation process. Outstanding tax obligations would certainly be an issue. Now is not the time to claim your sovereign citizen status and refuse to bow to any king. -Pumkpin, all rights reserved under U.C.C. 1-308.

I decided to resurrect this thread to pose a question and try to keep said question reigned in to a relevant thread as opposed to restarting a new one. So, here it goes:
There have been some SWAGs going around about NORs being released soon (relatively speaking, of course). I saw on one of the threads that there was talk of sometime in the next 2 weeks. Others speculate the end of the month, while others say March sometime and perhaps even April.
I said all that to say this: in the past, hasn't pending NOR results typically been preceded by a change in status in Application Manager and then some time afterwards (anywhere from a couple of weeks to almost six months) the NORs come out?
Being in the fall 2015 testing group, I'm awaiting the release with bated breath as is everyone else. But it seems to me that usually the sure harbinger of pending NORs appears to be a change in Application Manager status first, correct? If I am mistaken, please feel free to shed some light on this. But I guess, to me, I would not be getting too anxious about a pending NOR until the Application Manager status changes. And mine has been in See Details Tab for so long I think it is permanently burnt into my monitor screen. Just my thoughts. Open to others' interpretations.

I agree. That's the way it has happened in the past. However, I note on this last round of testing for the September group, there was only about 2-3 days between when the status changed in Application Manager and receipt of NORs. Given that, I think we are still in the any day now realm.

yeah, I'm going with we hear at the end of the month. that was posted either on this thread or it may be another thread. Makes sense to me. Going to try to keep it in back of mind until then. Which of course, I am "succeeding" in doing since I checked the board

Ouch:/ I check my app manager regularly to catch any changes to complete at the top.
I noticed a change today under assessments. There was an "external assessment"submitted on 2/11/2016 (today) and a notation that the assessment is complete. The previous "assessment questionnaire" was complete one day prior to receiving the NOR back in March 2013. As my status up top did not change to "complete" I am naturally concerned. Anyone else's status change with the external assessment WITH complete status up top?

And looks like there is some movement so hearing this month still sounds plausible.

This change happened within the last 2 hours for me. I had checked earlier today concerning the GAL expansion and had old dates. After seeing this, I just checked and mine too shows "Complete" with 02/11/2016.
This is a good omen!!

Ditto for me. Mine shows the assessment complete date of 2/11/16, but it still has "see details" at the top.

well, SSA may be able to fly through the interviews...... all 2 of them Trying to make light of what may be an oh-oh Obviously, that would be good for me and gary but I think you are looking at it wrong. I would suggest that if these changes mean that final scores are being entered (and I believe that it does) that it is not indicative of passing or failing. Certainly it seems unlikely that this many of you didn't make the cut. I mean not one of you? That seems unlikely to me. IF we start seeing changes other than the ones described above I would say that it means something about passing or failing. For now I would just assume that it means your NORs are coming sooner than I expected.

Christina, I was worried too, but now I think See Details Tab means nothing this time. How likely would it be that none of us passed?
