Based on the timeline in 2013, I was wondering if any emails would be arriving today. Not yet it seems... I applied in March of 2016. It was exactly 5 weeks to the day from when my application was completed and marked closed until I was invited to take the online test.
Since this was closed on Friday April 8th, five weeks would be Friday, May 13th. More likely the invite will go out on a Monday, so May 16th is when I expect the first invites to go out. **** WAG.**** It could take longer cause of the number of applicants or it could be sooner because OPM hired more people.
Either way OPM is doing an amazing job with a difficult and critical task.

I was just on USAJOBS and decided to check my application status (for the fun of it). I went to Application Manager, and it indicated it was still pending HR action (or something to that effect). Funny thing happened... when I was getting redirected back to USAJOBS a survey popped up for the Application Website. I cancelled out of it rather than completing it, but I was imagining if it was a survey for OPM, I might have been more tempted. lol

An ALJ I know received the email invite for the online testing on Apr 2, 2013, and as gary noted, his timeline has Apr 11. Those dates correspond to Apr 26-May 5, so we are now within the comparable time frame

Assuming one gets the email notifying them that they are qualified and are invited to do the online testing - what exactly comes next after that? I'm getting married next week and then on a honeymoon, so the timing may be a little tricky if I get good news from OPM but then have to start working on this online stuff right away.

It gives you example questions and a link to test your computer system. Then it gives you a two week period to take the test. For me, the two week period opened seven days after the email was sent.
Congratulations on the wedding! I hope she or he makes you very happy! and vice versa

We had about 3 weeks between notification that we were allowed to take the online test and then about 2 weeks to actually take it. There are no materials or tasks that you have to do between notification and actually taking the tests. aljdiscussion.proboards.com/post/95636

I wonder if it is the result of you taking it as a quarterly tester or if OPM is shortening the time between notification and testing?

Speculation, their intent to "speed up" this process could include reducing waiting times between steps. It will be interesting to see.

Thanks so much for this info. Is there a link on this site that gives tips or examples for the online testing?
Thanks!

So as a new rider on this merry go round, I've already started to hate the phrase "Pending HR Specialist Action". It made me wonder which phrases I would learn to hate in the future.

See details. It means you have not received a successful score. . Which phrase means you have received a successful score? "Woo hoo!" covered it for me.

See details. It means you have not received a successful score. . Which phrase means you have received a successful score? "Complete". But "woo hoo" is the generic equivalent.

It means you have not received a successful score. Just to clarify - do you mean if it says "pending HR specialist action" then I didn't make the first cut? I didn't notice if it ever said anything different. I was assuming it meant it hadn't yet been reviewed but your post makes me think maybe it means I didn't even get through the the first round. Thanks in advance for any insight.
