You can always start another thread. Just keep the discussion of application manager in that thread.

Yes, Application Manager has its own thread. Everything, even remotely related to AM, needs to go in that thread.
And Gaidin doesn't mean to start another thread relating to Application Manager! It already has a fine thread all of its own.
And thank you Bayou for pointing out the appropriate thread. Pixie.

I have still not heard anything as of yet. Has anything from the recent submissions gone out as far as anyone knows? I've seen others further along in the process have heard things recently so I thought I would ask about this? No - as far as I can tell, everyone who just applied in April is still waiting for the email from OPM telling them that they can move on to online testing or that their journey is over. Lots of those folks are obsessing over changes to their status line in Application Manager, but frankly AM is not a good bellweather. Even if your status changes, OPM is still going to wait until everything's been processed for everyone before moving anyone to the next step, so you STILL have no indication of when OPM will email you to tell you what's up.

I've seen others further along in the process have heard things recently so I thought I would ask about this? I am a first time applicant as well and I have not heard anything either. Also, it may be better to have a thread where the "newbies" can talk with each other, and then if the "older" members would like to join in they can. Although there is the "AM" thread, I have found that it is confusing keeping up with who is at what stage. And if there is any confusion it is often met with terse answers; which although not directed at me personally, I find a bit off putting.

STOP. No more discussion, or even mention, of Application Manager in this thread. As I said above, it has a fine thread of its own. Anything to do with AM must be discussed there.
I am contemplating how many marks (NPR speak for "points") LL2 is going to lose for even mentioning it in a thread other than the one dedicated to its lofty topic. However many she loses, G & G will lose half that many for "Liking" her post!
We are not going to have discussion of AM creep into four or five threads concurrently as it has done in the past.
It is probably getting to be time to lock this thread anyway as the OP's original question has been answered. We can't have anymore application manager "creep." It is like the Kudzu I saw driving through Alabama. Once it starts, it is impossible to completely eradicate. Pixie.

Do you know how to start a thread? The current Application Manager thread applies to you newbies, and only you newbies. That is your thread to discuss, vent, rant and obsess over all things Application Manager. Read the Q & A in that thread. If you have a question that has not been answered to your satisfaction, then ask away. Pixie.

Sorry Pixie. Was not trying to start or resurrect anything dealing with the other thread. I can see in hindsight how it could be taken that way, tho.

It's OK. Probably won't deduct marks from you as you are a good board member. But as to G & G for liking your post, that is a different matter. Pixie.

I'm going to have to say goodnight as the desire for mischief is strong (and Pixie's not even at dinner). Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetl....

No I haven't been to dinner and it is 9:30 EST. I am starving. This may be one of those nights when I take dinner in and with my laptop in front of me. And more importantly, Judge Pumpkin, I was out of the country for a week and a half (just got back), and you didn't even know it. Put one over on you. Ha! Pixie.

With all due respect, Your Worthiness, but since you were elevated to your current lofty estate your troublemaking has slipped.
