I have been informed by an anonymous source that they are still making transfer offers.

Too bad the poll is locked. I voted for today (5/24) for the calls. It's almost 3 pm PDT, so SSA folks back East are already eating dinner. At least I didn't bet money!

I have been informed by an anonymous source that they are still making transfer offers. From what I have been able to tell, this is no longer an adequate predictor of a pending hire or cert assessment. In the past several years, I have seen people accept transfer offers at all different periods of the year irrespective of a new hire, which also seems to be about 4 or 5 times a year now. Our office had one ALJ accept an offer in early March and she left last week. As there were one or two classes earlier this year, another one pending calls and perhaps one or two more before the end of the fiscal year, I suspect transfers will be ongoing. Depending on how the election goes and how SSA views their budget for early FY 2017, there will likely be a new hire just after the new year, which is consistent with years past. This basically means transfer offers could conceivably occur throughout the year.
