I believe it is absolutely proper to edit these posts as was done in this case. It is not a matter of "protecting anyone"; rather, this forum is not the place to air information that could form the basis for a challenge of any particular decision. This forum should be, for the most part, about how to apply for an ALJ position and, if selected, how to comport oneself as an ALJ.
Of course, the occasional swipe at trade schools in New Haven, CT, and Chapel Hill, NC, are is welcome. The music thread (and note to Pixie and others: I actually saw Duane Allman in concert at the Arena in Richmond, Virginia, shortly before the motorcycle accident) is also good for general knowledge.
But I return: Let us try to keep this focused on becoming a judge and, once there, the business of judging.
Respectfully, Tom B

You go, Pixie! You can edit any of MY posts you want. I just wish I was in R4 and knew what this is about.
You're my hero...Debbie.

Y'all are an interesting bunch. Makes me hope for a high score and a quick hire for more than one reason; just to see if I can also play the game of "Clue" (TM) and figure out who Pixie killed in the library with the candlestick.

I can't help it... I must post. I love a good conspiracy theory!! In considering your theory, I imagine if ODAR wanted to disseminate information, it would be much more PR friendly and beneficial to ODAR. For example, Pixie would reiterate certain statements, such as: 1. It doesn't matter if you are an insider or outsider. ODAR treats everyone equally. We love everyone and have NEVER looked at an insider's record. 2. There are absolutely no negative aspects of being an ODAR judge. 3. Judges who leave ODAR for other agencies are crazy. Don't. Do. It. 4. Board members should bring exactly three kittens to the interview in a brown, oval shaped basket. One kitten must be calico. 5. I have no clue why the threads concerning other agencies disappeared... I'm sorry... I could not resist.

If I ever interview at SSA, I am seriously wearing a lapel pin with a basket of kittens, just to see who outs themselves by cracking a grin when they see it.

I just got back on after the original post. Honestly, I meant no malice and obviously, I should not have posted it. I didn't mean to offend or cause trouble. If I could figure out how to delete it all, I would. mea culpa.

I too had a few bumpy over-shares in the past, but as with all good and new things in the legal world, you learn best by jumping in the deep end and getting slapped around a little.

I'm sorry, but if this were revealed it would violate the sacredness of the process. Choose carefully. I would include puppies and kittens in the basket though, just to make sure all your bases are covered.

Those of us who've been on the Board for awhile know that Pixie is a Master of Misdirection at times. We've also seen her defuse flame wars, delete shameless advertising and spamming, cast out trolls, and otherwise protect the Board and keep it a collegial and fun place to visit.
Pix - you've shown amazing restraint and good humor time after time. I'm not in R4, so don't know what this is about, but you've proven your judgment to be pretty sound, so I trust it.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but... Less disturbing, but still presenting an odd mental picture is pixie as retired (?) Judge Bice. Having said that, Judge Bice did have a short, um, pixie-like haircut. Hmm, the plot thickens I do recall "Go Tide," coming from a pixie post and her depth of knowledge of Duane's guitar skills indicates she may have visited Muscle Shoals at least a time or two.Bayou, get on this won't you. It goes a whole lot deeper and farther back than Muscle Shoals. Your turn Bayou; time to get on it. Pixie

Hmm, the plot thickens I do recall "Go Tide," coming from a pixie post and her depth of knowledge of Duane's guitar skills indicates she may have visited Muscle Shoals at least a time or two. Bayou, get on this won't you. What in the heck do I have to do with this? I've already outed Gary as being Bob. Why do I have to do all of the heavy lifting around here? I will say, if she did indeed say "Go Tide", she misspelled Geaux and a die hard Bama fan would have said "Roll Tide" aslkawfajlsj dang it, that almost broke my keyboard. I don't really care who she/he is as long as she keeps feeding us good intel. In fact, it frustrates me that anybody is trying to identify her because I wouldn't want any chilling effect on her disclosing the intel she gets. And if you want my serious take on whether she "should" delete the email, I say "should" has nothing to do with it. Her house, her rules. There is no basis to say she "should" be neutral or she "should" allow certain discussion. THe word "should" implies some rule or moral obligation to permit certain types of discussion and there aren't any such rules or obligations applicable here. If you don't like the limits she places on what may be said using the platform she built (along with ALJD), then build your own damn platform. If there is really a censorship problem, then people will flock to that new board. G'luck with that by the way. So, I'll end my rant by saying that I insist on being in a good mood because I'm looking forward to work tomorrow more than I have in a long time. By telling this story, not only will I be telling on myself to my office mates if they happen to be on here but will make it easy for them to identify me. Anyway, I'm located in the deep south and the temps are already bumping up to 80 or so. The AC in our office has been out for about 2 weeks. Not intolerable for a southern boy but we have a guy from up north that is already suffering from the heat. So one day last week, I arrived at work an hour before everybody else. I took 2 space heaters and put them in his office, turned them wide open and closed the door. It was sweltering by the time he came in. He promptly blamed everybody in the office and eventually settled on two other guys that he has pranked in the past. After a few hours of me gently egging him on, he decided he needed to retaliate and took a bag of shredded paper and threw it all over their offices. Of course, they were totally innocent. The guy in whose office I put the heaters then went on leave for a week. He had a prize bulldog statute on his desk . The two guys he retaliated against have kidnapped his dog, left him a ransom note, posted "missing posters of the bulldog statute" on the bulletin board and placed on his desk pictures of the statute taken in various places around the office. Now, this guy is sorta loud, expressive, very funny and generally has an big bold personality. He returns from leave tomorrow. Tomorrow may be the greatest work day of my life. I fully expect this to get out of hand to the point that the boss has to send everybody to their rooms without supper.

I had an office that pranked like that early in my career. Good times.
Enjoy!
