Does anyone know if there are any Financial Planner services available for federal employees?

There are a couple of youtube channels dedicated to the topic - plan-your-federal-retirement, thefedcorner and Dallen Haws (Haws Federal Advisors) - they all have websites with info, newsletters, contact info for their advisors/planners.
Although it is superficially a niche market, a lot of financial planners will be used to dealing with federal retirement issues and/or military retirement.

Does anyone know if there are any Financial Planner services available for federal employees? Be wary of these folks. They know the benefits you are entitled to and their main focus seems to be to take over control of your TSP and try to grow it. I almost gave up control but then I did some research. They seem to make their money through commissions made on trades. So they take your money and trade it often. Sometimes it grows other times it does not but they make the commission regardless. The market has been on a bull run for many years (except Covid major dip) and you could do same if not better by just sticking your money in the S&P 500 and leaving it there. |
