I sure am glad that my friends on this board are finally getting their calls; now we can all relax for a few days, recharge our batteries, and get ready for the next round

I'm also scheduled for 4/20 Monday AM. I decided against dealing with the travel folks, and am just driving up and staying with a friend in Falls Church. I also stayed w/her for the WD and the SI, and probably owe her another bottle of Crown. And she just so happens to be having a cookout Sunday (yay!) so if anybody is staying over Sunday and wants something to do (free food, beer, and inevitable complaining about the 'Skins and/or Dan Snyder), PM me. This will increase the odds that someone is more hungover than I will be on Monday. cf alludes to another thread that will probably be created: THE INTERVIEW. Those of us that have been through it signed a non-disclosure agreement. However, there are peripheral issues/thoughts/sights that can be addressed. We're lawyers.

Are there still applicants who haven't been called yet for an interview?

Sorry Little Beagle. They decided not to hire any small dogs this time. Rabbits? Now, that's a different situation. Rabbits are in.

I finally checked with SSA. Calls for interviews will be continuing through next week. The message was to be patient.

I posted this elsewhere, but I thought it was worth repeating. I received my interview call at 8:00 a.m. this morning. The woman who called confirmed that they are making calls throughout the weekend. She said that they have typically been making calls to schedule interviews after 3:00 p.m. during the week and all weekend.
When I asked her what I might expect for the interview time, she said 2 hours.
She also indicated that since I am local to the Washington, D.C. area, they were calling locals toward the end. She intimated that we have more flesibility.
By the way, my credit was pulled several days ago but none of my references have indicated that they have been called.

The interview will take an hour or less. They allocate two hours to help with scheduling issues.
It makes no difference as to when they contact your references or check your credit. It will get done before you have an offer.

For those still tethered to their phones, as I am, I sent an e-mail to one of the contacts this morning. The best I could get was that the scheduling would continue this week, but should be done by the end of the week.
I am not local to DC, so don't be alarmed if you haven't received a call and also aren't local.
All said, though, I think that an application of Occam's Razor in this context means that there are some lost packets.

I'm taking back my last message which implied some hope. There appear to be some people (or at least me, and I want to feel that I'm not alone) who aren't going to get called for the interview regardless of being on the cert for the first time. Anybody heard a reason, or want to hazard one?
Best of luck to those still in the process; for whatever reason I'm evidently not.

GJF323, have you called them since your post of April 6? They could have lost your package. Has any one else still not been called?

I, too, am curious to know whether there are a lot of people still waiting for the call. If you haven't been called yet for your interview, I think this is the time to call them. Last year they did lose one package, that I know of; there may have been more. He called and was scheduled.

Thanks Nonamouse. Maybe GIF was the last one and everybody has now been called that made the cert and yet wasn't interviewed previously....

I haven't heard from any of my references, all of whom except the judges, are on notice to let me know if they get called.
I am interviewing on the last day next week. Anyone else?
Just curious. Thanks.

I'm interviewing the last day also. Almost all of my references are judges and justices and most have called me to tell me they have been contacted, even those I listed with info of my past experience.

Well we may all see each other next Friday. Any of you staying the night? (My references have all been called.)
