I was told that the closest hotel to the Falls Church location was a Homewood Suites hotel, right across the street. So I had SATO make a reservation at Homewood Suites, Falls Church. Then I checked Google, and found that the Homewood Suites in Falls Church is actually quite far from 5107 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church. However, the Homewood Suites in Alexandria is just across the street, at 4850 Leesburg Pike. Leesburg Pike separates Falls Church from Alexandria.
The phone # for the Alexandria one is 703-671-6500.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites last year, and it was very comfortable. It was an easy walk to the interview site. Good luck to everyone. lee

northwest- your information seems backward to me- I have stayed at both places and I think you have the two locations reversed. I suggest a mapquest of both locations.

Homewood Suites Alexandria is indeed kitty corner from SSA, but due to having to walk across several lane roads & around the building through parking lots, it takes 10 minutes brisk walking. As someone mentioned in another post, aim for the Target main door. Then go up some stairs to get to the SSA building main doors (after going through their parking lot). There are fences around the building which make it impossible to take a shortcut. When I checked in, they didn't want to honor the $209 government rate because I didn't have an ID showing I work for the federal government. (I didn't think until now, maybe if I had a state gov't ID or business card that would have worked). The non-gov't rate was $239. I don't think SSA would reimburse anything more than the gov't rate. There was no manager on duty. However, the receptionist finally reluctantly relented, "this time only." I said that next time I'll be a federal gov't employee, so it won't be a problem. PS: This hotel is very nice. The suite is spacious, and they have internet and HBO.
