That really puts the pressure on the private practice people. If the offers go out Monday the 18th, it will give everyone exactly four weeks to get to their new duty station. I would think that four weeks would be the bare minimum to shut down a practice, let alone move.

Maybe we could start calling / e-mailing ODAR and offering ourselves . . . if it would make their job easier.

And I don't really think ODAR/Falls Church is too concerned about the private practice people. They can always petition for a latter class. Forget water-boarding as an "enhanced technique." Just tell the folks at GITMO that they are getting out and then keep pushing back the date.

With all due respect, how solid is this information? If we knew ya, I wouldn't ask.

Maybe Northwest was right all along after she called ODAR and they told her 5/22. As one of the chief naysayers I'm not quite ready to give up on the 18th, but I'm going with "when you least expect it, expect it."

I HATE to give up on my prediction of 5/19, but I gotta admit, northwest is uber reliable and this all makes sense. Argh! Maybe I can go beat up on somebody...

If the offers go out on Monday the 18th, it will give the first training group five weeks to get to their new duty stations on June 22, two weeks prior to the July 6 training.

The thing that bothers me about the 22nd is that the date is the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, which comes earlier this year than most. Can they really call all 157 people in one day? Seems like they would know that some people might be less available that weekend and it would serious stink for the poor OCALJ employees who had to spend their three-day weekend on the phone.
I guess they could wait until the 26th, but that is tight even for the government employees.
Anyone know why the transfer offers took so long?

Looks like we're collateral damage from the protracted transfer process rather than ODAR/Falls Church taking their time making decisions.

I am sticking with the May 11 notification and am resigned to the fact that neither I nor anyone on this board got a call.
Sigh.
(It is as good an unsbustantiated theory as any).

It's been a while since I've looked at this board and maybe these posts are meant to be jokes. Whatever, it seems pretty clear from official announcements that offers are going to be made starting next Monday May 18 or maybe shortly thereafter. I hope people are not seriously worried about not having heard this week.

I thought they were going to send a letter, or an email like they did last year. I would hate to jump every time my phone rings for weeks. I was told in my interview that if I hadn't heard by the end of June, I probably wasn't going to be picked up. (Ok. I asked "when do I start", when they asked if I had any questions.)

While in a meeting this PM my mobile rang, I looked down and it was a 703 number. At the other end was a very nice lady who introduced herself as calling from the office of the chief alj . . . . . .

You, Sir (or Madam), are truly a devious person. ;D Don't try to stress us out like that over a travel voucher.
