There are structured interviews still scheduled for the weeks of 9-17 and 9-24, so that might be difficult, although I guess they could just plug those scores into their database if they are up to date on everything else. I think their previous goal was the end of October.

Does anyone know which other agencies are hiring ALJs? (and if so, how many/locations/etc?) I think next to SSA, HHS's medicare hearing offices have the most ALJs. My understanding is they have offices in Cleveland, Arlington, Miami, and Irvine, with Cleveland being the largest with 30 some ALJs. Miami and Irvine has like 20 each, and Arlington, the smallest office, has a handful. As for hiring, a friend of mine who's an ALJ there said they are pretty much staffed up now, and will only be hiring to replace attritions. I think there's an ad up on USAJOBS right now for HHS ALJ positions, but its only open to current or retired ALJs. Drone
