I notice that the RCALJ in the Denver office is leaving. Anyone in the know want to predict what kind of changes will happen with that? I understand he is pretty much responsible for the NTEU staff continuing the 3 days of flexiplace, which has been quite popular given the horrendous commute into Denver. I don't know what other things he has done, however, that might change with his leaving.

Doesn't it depend, at least in part, on who succeeds him? Any thoughts/rumors? I disagreeumption is that it's in the bag for the former Ass't RCALJ, now the Acting RCALJ in Region I.

Hmm- Learned-I'm surprised to learn that NTEU has 3 days of Flexi in the Denver Region- I thought it was only up to 2 days per the NTEU contract, but up to 3 days for AFGE folks. Are ya sure about that?

They were supposed to give that up under the current NTEU contract, but I have it on good authority that the RCALJ allowed it to continue.

The announcement came out August 31, 2007 that Judge Michael Heitz would be the Acting Regional Chief in Region VIII. Judge Heitz is a former office Chief in Denver and has been very active in many of the video training programs and is a regular instructor for new ALJ classes. He came up through the ranks and was previously a writer.
