I haven't received my NOR (and triple checked all my email folders.) However, I am in a rather subset ... I have on "the list" since 2007, but was eligible to submit for this app period (and did so to try to increase my score). In the meantime, I've received notification that I'm being considered for an opening. Is it possible that my "new" NOR is being delayed pending the outcome of the current opening? Anyone else in this situation? Strangely my application status on USAJobs states "application status not available." Rather ominous ... I'm wondering if perhaps I'm in limbo with the "new" process pending the outcome of this one? Thoughts, ideas, similarly situated?

Kilgore, I sent an email to aljapplication@opm.gov asking about my status in light of emails going out with results.
CJC, mine says Awaiting Results. I too had applied in 2007 and made the list but I am not being considered presently under a certificate if that's what you mean. So I guess I wouldn't be similarly situated.

crazybroad - did you receive any response to your inquirty to aljapplication@opm.gov?
And a quick update on me ... I checked my status on "applicationmanager.gov" and it is listed as "awaiting results - you will be notified." Not as ominous as the "not available" as listed on USAJobs. Still, seems odd when it seems the majority of NORs went out on Friday.
Also crazybroad, yes, I'm being considered under a cert for a current ALJ position - and I'm following that posting board too. Busy, busy ... and obsessing, obsessing! eegads ...

Thanks crazybroad (an interesting user name to say the least). It seems we may be similarly situated as I applied in 2007, and I am not presently on any certification. I will shoot them an email as well.

Good Luck!

mle06,
thanks ... I checked and it simply verifies that I disagreeessment questionnaire status as "complete" as of 11/10/09. And my "application package history" status is "awaiting results - you will be notified" as of 11/10/09 as well. I guess it's just in limbo on someone's desk! (Or in someone's data processing queue.)
Thanks ....

Thanks .... This entire process is very near maddening and is made worse by seeming glitches such as those you are experiencing. Hopefully, it is as others have suggested here on the board that your OPM invitation to complete the WD/SI has just not been processed as yet. It seems that most of the time, all the various types of "results" we have all waited on at one time or another, come in waves. Here's hoping that you "catch the next wave" and will hear something soon! . . . and again, good luck to you!

CJC, I got the standard "we received your inquiry" response from OPM within 5 minutes of sending it stating that there was an open ticket on my inquiry. That's all so far.
However, my AR result says Complete as of 2/22/10. But still Awaiting Results on the Application Package. Also under Written Test is says No Results yet. Hopefully that suggests I'm going on in the process - I know, I know, all this stuff is just Greek to us.
Oh, and Kilgore, it's just a name - I'm not really a crazy broad.

Thanks .... I'm in the same boat, cjc. Been on since 2007, re-applied in Nov. to bump up score (maybe), am on current cert for ALJ position, have NOT received notice of moving on to OPM WD and SI. Application manager contains same info for me as for crazybroad (AR good as of 2/20/10). Let us know if you hear anything; I will do the same. Guess no WD/SI means we're getting hired as ALJs, huh?

BTW - I may change my screen name to "obsessed!" That's how I feel ...

I am first time applicant and received an email invitation to take the written test this week-end. Thank you to all the support from this board during that wait FYI - my application status on USjobs still says "awaiting results" although the inside info says complete. I'm not sure that helps other than to show the application status doesn't mean too much. Good luck on appeals.

Crazybroad, but you are a New Yorker. Upstate or Downstate. I practiced in NYC and White Plains for a while before heading for the great northwest. Now I am in Denver and if fortunate enough to be selected will have to move again. I guess I am just a gypsy at heart.

From past experience, how long before we receive the scheduling notice with the test and interview dates? I have a pre-trial in a few days, and I wanted to be able to give the judge the dates I am not available. Not sure what to do if I still don't know the dates by then.
Do you think OPM would respond if I send them an email tomorrow, or should I just pick trial dates and worry about rescheduling later?

Ok, Kilgore, I'm actually a Jersey broad but relocated to Upstate NY.
The fact that some of you got emails despite App Man saying Awaiting results does not make me feel any better, just more discouraged. I was hopeful that it said Written Test no results yet. But there would be an email sent in the file for the Notification, no?

As noted in another thread, I got my WD and SI dates by e-mail this morning. So backtoeden you should know those dates soon.

Nothing yet. Considering last time I was qualified and it is two years later, you think I would have been invited to the dance, but so far nothing.

Nothing yet. Considering last time I was qualified and it is two years later, you think I would have been invited to the dance, but so far nothing. In many ways, it reminds me or what I assume unrepresented claimants go through when getting decisions/appealing disability claims. How are these decisions made? Why did one decision-maker think I was not disabled and another thought I was on the same evidence, and then another decision-maker remanded and a new decision-maker has a totally different take on it? I used to get this a lot from people cut off SSI due to incarceration. They had not medically improved; they had not worked; they were four years older. However, because their SSI had been in suspense for 12 months, their case was closed out and they had to reapply and they were found not to be disabled and they were stunned because the "Facts" were "the same." Answer: new decision-maker makes different decision. Best of luck Kilgore, hope you hear good news.

PM- in many cases of incarcerated claimants, its the jail records that demonstrate medical improvement. 12.05 cases don't change but a 12.04 or 12.06 with a DA&A component can result in a whole different case when the claimant is alcohol or substance free in the slammer. It may also be the criminal activity (PRW) that got them there like drug dealing. I am relatively confident that the vast majority of inmates in this country suffer some mental impairment and almost all that I have seen are alleging mental impairments. However, the jail time can also lead to evidence of disability such as TB, Hepatitis B and C, AIDs, etc. where maybe the inmate got his/her first health care.
