For those who don't know yet, the NORs are now being e-mailed to November applicants. A few of us have already received bad news. Good luck to the rest.

LOL: I must admit I laughed out loud when I received my reject notice from OPM. More than two decades of litigation experience; published decisions, multiple personal requests and recommendations by the SSA itself to apply and subsequently I am deemed "not qualified". In the meantime I have been requested to appear before a US Congressional House Committee to testify as an expert witness for the complete reform of an entire specific governmental disability agency and process that shall remain nameless.....LOL. You gotta love American governmental bureuacracy...the Peter Principle remains intact.

I received a NOR on Feb 26th at 9:43pm (pacific time) informing me that I "have met the criteria to proceed to the remaining assessment parts of the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) examination consisting of the Written Demonstration (WD) and Structured Interview (SI)". I am cautiously excited ....

I too have met the criteria to proceed. Says it was sent at 11:43 p.m Friday. I am a bit numb at the moment, and as Greenhorn said, "cautiously excited".
Guess I am done sleeping for the night. That's what I get for checking e-mail on the phone at 3:30 a.m.

I also received an email late last night that my score was not amongst the higher scores. It was disappointing at first, but I no longer have to worry about whether I might have to move to another city. I guess you have to look for the silver lining to every dark cloud. I'll try again next time, and feel like I'll be better prepared for having gone through this stressful experience.

Jaime, were you given a reason why you were not qualified? Last time, folks who did not have attorney ID numbers in their states were bounced because they failed to indicate an ID no. Others had decades of SSA experience and were denied the opportunity to sit for the WD/SI..Still others (many of whom received high scores) went to the final rounds, only to be denied an offer. Try not to take it too hard. The whole process is veiled. If it will give you peace of mind, find out what you can and appeal.

Still on hold here. My condolences to those who didn't hear the news they had hoped, and congrats to those going forward with this administrative trial by ordeal. Looks like me and my 'berry are going to be keeping close company for the next few days.

And I'm wrong, the notice was in my spam folder . Make room for one more in the trial, brethren ;D In all seriousness, if you haven't heard please do check your Junk/trash/spam folders. I thought I had OPM whitelisted, and it still got diverted there.

Heed the advice of others on this board and appeal, appeal, appeal OPM's denial until you get what you want. I know of others who did and it worked.

Well, after being thrown to the curb for not stating my date first licensed in the Accomplishment Record in 2007, and missing the open perod because I was taking a bar exam in 2008, this time I did get invited to take the test and to interview. And by the way, for the people, like Jaime, who were told they were "not qualified", that probably means that you failed to answer one of the Accomplishment Record questions correctly. In other words a clerk or a computer noted that you had failed to, for example, put the date you were first licensed as the answer to the question - in what jurisdictions are you licensed, what are your license numbers, and what are the dates that you were first licensed. At that point, your application seems to be put on the discard pile because in their minds, you have failed to show that you have been practicing for seven years, and you are therefore not qualified. Jaime, don't take it personally. They didn't read your application. This is not a logical process.

I just checked my email and I got the invitation to proceed. I didn't make the cut last time, so I certainly understand how those feel who did not make it this time. However, if this is a career option you would like to pursue, please give it another shot.

I also got the e-mail inviting me to the WD and SI. Congratulations to those who made it and I am sorry to those who did not. But, I think people should check their AR and see if they can appeal.
