Folks, I believe the nondisclosure agreement is still legally binding, no?

I would add to ALJD's "warning" a reminder that this board is open and available to everyone including SSA/ODAR. I found that out the hard way in 2008 after posting something that could've been taken as a disparaging remark about my new duty station. When I contacted my new HOCALJ he called me by my screen name. I was somewhat embarrassed to say the least. So, just a friendly reminder- what you say here is not private. Good luck to everyone. Try not to stress too much!!

You mean, we can't disclose questions like, hey, what's with the pants suit?

You mean, we can't disclose questions like, hey, what's with the pants suit? Use your best judgment and common sense . Since everyone who signed the non-disclosure agreement is an attorney, I believe they should all be capable of understanding and following such a simple contract.

I actually considered whether I was disclosing anything I should not when I made the comment about being glad I wore a pantsuit to SI. I never would have anticipated that there would not be a table separating me from the interviewers and that I would be sitting in a big comfortable hotel room leather chair. As a woman, this makes a huge difference in whether I wear a pantsuit or a skirtsuit since I can actually concentrate on my interview responses rather than worrying about whether I was showing something I shouldn't. I hope through my post I am able to save other women from potential embarrassment. Now I promise to stop talking about it!

The SI and SSA Interview details are not to be disclosed. Even at the height of this Board participation in the '08s when we had all kinds of boppers and weavers, the questions were not disclosed. IMO, the Agreement covers the questions, not what you wore, if you had two or three, male or female, cookies, etc., etc. Even assuming you knew the questions in advance (hmmm....) I would contend it doesn't really help you. Its as much form as substance (maybe more) and I never met an interviewer who struck me as even remotely gullible.

These waivers are fairly standard in employment situations nowadays. In any event, most states immunize employers from liability for disclosure of employment information to prospective employers. I think the chances of having OPM change this practice are nil.

Just a quick reminder that there should be no discussion of SI specifics for a couple reasons: 1. Non-disclosure agreement. 2. It would give future candidates an unfair advantage over folks who already got their scores. 3. This is an open forum, so I would not be surprised that it's being read by OPM and SSA staffers, and we all know no one is truly anonymous on the Internet. Therefore, please exercise some self-restrain, and if anyone sees any problematic posts, let me know and it will be moderated promptly and the offending poster be dealt with permanently. And below is a recent public service video from our forum jokester to get the point across: LOL. No further warning will be given on this issue.
