There are two main methods of member reputation on this forum:
Member Ranking
Member ranking is earned through posting on the forum. As you contribute more posts, your forum rank will increase. Your ranking starts out at one star and max out at five stars.
Warning Bar
In rare situations, member ranking may (the star(s) & member title) be replaced by an orange warning bar. This is usually when a member has been suspended for violating forum rules. This warning bar is only visible to the suspended member, not other users. Please contact the administrator if your account has been suspended and you see a warning bar.

From Wiki: *** An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum or group with the singular intention of baiting users into an argumentative response. Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. Flaming usually occurs in the social context of a discussion board, Internet Relay Chat (IRC) or even through e-mail. An Internet user typically generates a flame response to other posts or users posting on a site, and is usually not constructive, does not clarify a discussion, and does not persuade others. Sometimes, flamers attempt to assert their authority, or establish a position of superiority over other users. Other times, a flamer is simply an individual who believes he or she carries the only valid opinion. This leads him or her to personally attack those who disagree. Occasionally, flamers wish to upset and offend other members of the forum, in which case they can be called "trolls". Most often however, flames are angry or insulting messages transmitted by people who have strong feelings about a subject. *** If you want to see internet trolling and flaming in all it's glory, feel free to check out: aljimprovement.proboards45.com/index.cgiMost of us here are "refugees" from that board after the troll infestation there got out of hand. And we try our best to keep this place pleasant and civilized so people can exchange information without getting insulted or put down. Thanks!

Thanks. Now if I only used spellcheck before I wrote neophyte. Arghhh! Look at the upper right hand corner of your posts. You can always press the "modify" button and edit your posts later if you need to change something, or press "delete" to remove it altogether if need be.
