Hi all. Just spoke with Personnel, and was informed that updated FEIA emails (listing only those locations previously selected by individuals) will be sent out probably Wednesday (2 days from now), again requesting marking with an X those places still in consideration, and directing that a response to the FEIA be "re-sent". Also, additional time will be allowed for submission, probably to next Wed. or Thurs. Just thought this might save some a little effort and time. And now we all have more time to recall all those excellent publications! Take care, all.

I have been out of town, and have not had time to read all of the recent postings here. So, my question is--are other people listing their CLE materials as publications? Sorry to repeat a question that has probably already been answered, but it is crunch time at my office.

Folks, I anyone receives a new list and it includes Houston, please let us know if it provides any new details that would indicate whether it is Houston downtown or Houston Bissonnet. Thanks!

So when is this "corrected" e-mail from OPM supposed to come out? I don't believe such an e-mail is forthcoming. Anyone have any new info at this point?

I was told by SSA that they hoped OPM would reissue today (Wednesday) and that the new deadline for submission would be 12/12. As my wife pointed out, none of this is in writing and if I haven't received a new OPM email by Friday morning and an SSA email extending the deadline - I will fax everything as originally requested before the close of business on Friday.

SSA expects it to. I've already sent in my documents, but will re-send all of them (even though SSA told me I didn't have to do that) when the new FEAI arrives.

I was informed by SSA that OPM will be re-issuing the FEAI on Thursday (tomorrow). I got this information about 15 minutes ago. The deadline will be extended to 12/12/07.

Son of a gun!!! Just got an email from OPM. The comprehensive FEAI sent to me on November 30 was in error, as it listed places I had not originally selected. So much for the theory that SSA was permitting us to alter our original selections. A corrected FEAI is being sent today listing only those places I originally selected, and which have openings. Based on the list of 11/30 and my original selections, my original 19 selections have reduced to six places. Yikes! Oh, well.
I've been out of town since Sunday. Is this consistent with what everyone else is experiencing?

Quote:
Dear Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Applicant,
Please disregard the Federal Employment Availability Inquiry you received, dated Nov. 30, 2007. The geographic locations indicated on the Nov. 30th inquiry mistakenly included locations you had not designated. An updated inquiry will be sent to you later today listing only those geographic locations that you selected on your application that coincide with the locations where SSA is seeking to fill positions. The updated inquiry will have today's date and replaces the Nov. 30th form. You must still respond to SSA, based on the revised inquiry, with your location preferences even if you previously responded to the Nov. 30th inquiry. SSA has informed OPM that your response to SSA must be received no later than Dec.12, 2007.
As stated in the vacancy announcement 2007ALJ-134575, if you decline consideration for a geographical location for which you previously indicated availability, you will be removed from further consideration for that location for all agencies. You will not be able to reinstate a location from which you have been removed until the next ALJ vacancy announcement open period. Please note that no other change will be permitted to your selected geographical locations until the next ALJ vacancy announcement open period.
Respectfully,
Administrative Law Judge Examining Office

Folks, I anyone receives a new list and it includes Houston, please let us know if it provides any new details that would indicate whether it is Houston downtown or Houston Bissonnet. Thanks! I've never heard of the Bellaire office being called merely "Houston" rather than Houston-Bellaire. However, the goofy application had Houston listed generically and then the specific current offices. Of course, it also had Arlington, TX listed where there is no current office. Since Bellaire is the "better" office according to a number of people I have spoken with who have experienced Houston in ODAR, my guess is that the opening is downtown. We could only hope that Houston has an opening at each office! I'll take the Bayou City way.
